Great Fish & Chips very friendly staff 😋

Great fresh fish but very slow service, due to each order is taken slowly then cooked individually. Better to have a regular stock cooked and ready to serve as In old days.

The food was gorgeous! I had fish, chips and mushy peas and really enjoyed it! The staff were helpful and friendly too.

Please please please bring George back. The people who own it now have no clue what they are doing. Chips just came out so thought they would be fresh. How wrong i was. They looked like they had been reheated from lunch time. I gave them back and told them the oil needs changing and the woman said it gets filtered. It doesn't need filtering it needs changing coz the chips were all brown n crusty. Been coming here for 20 years. I will never come back unless George comes back. Or they get new owners who can cook chips. Use to be the best chippy in Stockport.

Fresh fish and chips that easily match if not beat well established brands like Harry Ramsdens hidden on the small semi market of Castle Street, Edgeley. Close to Stockport Town centre and well worth a visit. Especially on a Friday on national fish and chips day! Keep British tradition alive!

Just had an amazing meal in the friary. It’s been refurbished and looks great. Staff were also lovely. Check the empty plates😂
