The George and Dragon in Stockport

Myself and a friend came down to the quiz this evening and it was brill. Paul was a great quizmaster and made us feel so welcome as it was our first time. Unfortunately forgot our change to join in at first but Adam behind the bar was a legend and sorted us out! Great service, we will definitely be back.

we had my mother in laws 80th birthday party at the lovely George and dragon pub. It was a surprise for her, so I wanted it to be as perfect as possible, the staff and venue did not disappoint! The staff could not do enough for us they were extremely attentive and with lots of 80 year old women that can be a tough job lol but I have to say what an amazing evening we all had the best time. The food was made by amazing kitchen staff, led by Braden (kitchen manager) it's was a fantastic spread and so much choice we were lost for words. The managers (Adam and Nick ) who worked closely with me to deliver everything we wanted for the party were from start to finish brilliant! And not forgetting to thank Sam and kirsty who made it all possible and played the best 50s music all evening at the end the birthday girl had a good dance it was so good to see her so happy so from the bottom of our hearts we would like to say a massive thankyou to the george and dragon this won't be the last you see of us we are already planning our next visit xxxx

Good choice of beer and great for watching football. Unfortunately the young bar staff would regularly go missing for 5 or so minutes and reappear smirking at each other without offering an apology for making you wait.

Fantastic atmosphere and great food. Staff were really polite and had the pleasure of speaking to Adam the assistant manager who was a true gentleman. He chatted with me and my partner for about 10/15 minutes and made us feel really welcomed. Definitely will be paying regular visits!

I can not rate this place enough. Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing atmosphere.....even with two young children while the football was on. We will definitely be going back. Lorna attended to us, she was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble, and even better she had a smile on her face the whole time. our first time there but will be back many more times.

Had a lovely meal with some friends tonight. All our food was lovely and hot. Nothing was too much trouble for Nick the Manager and his staff. This is a favourite place of mine to eat and I have never had a bad experience yet.

Love the quiz nights on a Monday. Food is good and the price is very reasonable. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.

Lovely food and service! we have just found our regular eating place can’t wait to visit again this week 😉Thank you. Edited! 2nd visit 10-10-21 Sunday roast was disappointing! Luke warm, Chewy beef, only thing hot was the roast potatoes! Make sure you order your dessert at the same time otherwise your not entitled to it and have to pay extra for it! Very disappointed child until a lovely lady gave us one they didn’t require! Maybe caught them on a bad day but it was a very disappointing experience! I visit this pub frequently and I aways eat there. The is not very good, but is excellent value for money. The pensioners menu is particularly so. The staff are very welcoming, and particularly kind to the elderly. I would definitely recommend a visit.
