Went for dinner on Sunday 3rd May Bank Holiday weekend . On arrival we were told there were no roast dinners . So chose other option. Then told 2 of the meals out of three were not available either . Drinks just left on the bar then eventually brought to us told told which was Diet Pepsi & regular .Noticed 2 other diners who came in after us & ordered after us received roast dinners . On asking why was just told that the roasts were in the oven on our arrival . Why were we not told this & the waitress didn’t seem to care . Service was poor & waiting a long time for food . Asked to speak to the manager who did refund the mains . Everything was spoilt because we didn’t get what we wanted & service was terrible . Will not be returning

We fool our dog for a lunch time stroll and ended up here. The sign on the gate to outside seating said enter through the main bar and the main door offered water bowls, without any bowls in it, for dogs. Once in a bar person asked us to take the dog back out and through the gate dogs did not seem to be welcome in the bar/eating area. Confusing messaging given the number of dog friendly establishments in the area. Once settled the range of beers and wines was good and the food menu was attractive. The setting of this pub and the offering will make it attractive I'd be grateful if it would clarify its dog policy

Everything about the March Hare was great. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly. It is a wonderful place to relax and have a meal and a drink. The atmosphere is lovely and it is a lovely clean place. Definitely recommend it.

First time going here as i have recently moved into the area, and I cannot believe the poor service I received by Alex I believe was his name.No please or thank you and he kept staring at my disabled friend. We ended up leaving after 20 mins due to feeling uncomfortableWon’t be returning

First time we have been here, service was great. Thank you Danny you were amazing. Food was really good! Kids are well catered for, plenty of choice and reasonably priced. We will be back.

Roast dinner on the Sunday wasn’t worth the pricing. Staff weren’t that friendly in welcoming us in and had to find the table ourselves. Beef was cooked wrong and the stuffing pigs in blankets felt like mush. Probably come here for other foods when they get rid of the veganuary menu which limits options

Lovely pub and the staff were really polite and helpful. Ordered the pie and was really please when it arrived, as it looked massive. But my excitement was over very quickly as it was soon apparent that it was pretty much hollow, with only really a dribble of filling inside. I spoke to the staff about it who were helpful and replaced the pie, only for another hollow pie to turn up... By this point I was starving so just ate what was essentially a pie crust and plate of chips. Don't order the pie!

Very poor this time.Glass of water tasted of metal so sent it away.Starters were good.Got given our mains and then never had the waitresses come back served all tables around us except us (bigger tables)Where do I start with the mains ?Forgot the side of triple cooked chips came out after and we'll barely cooked even once.Pork belly was like chewing gum and left 90% of it (see picture attached).Carrots couldn't even cutMash and broccoli was OK nothing specialScallops 2 for ÂŁ4 extra and tasted of rubber. My partners plate was oily and sent back, the dried off the plate and sent back out.Fish cakes over doneFries average nothing specialFilling of fishcake was nice.Make sure when you go the headchef is in as food won't always be to standard.Manager apologised and removed both dishes from the bill after we had to go up to the bar to be served and pay the bill to leave as I no longer waited a dessert to share even though we had a voucher for it free. Both of us aren't feeling 100% after the food now either. We have been before and it was lovely food and great service.
