The midway in Stockport

Attended on Sunday for a meal with friends. Sadly had a very long wait for food (nearly an hour from ordering) I understand that it was busy but feel it could be time managed better. People that arrived after us got their starters before we got our mains (we didn't have a starter). The meal itself was really nice and a good size portion however we were extremely disappointed with the desserts. Picture attached of my desert which cost £7.75! It was the thinnest slice I've ever seen and did not merit that price tag at all. Others ordered the brownie and it was three small triangles (which did not make one average square of brownie) a friend commented that she thought it was a childs portion, Sadly very disappointing. We have visited before and had some great meals and experiences this one however was not the best.

Had gluten free fish and chips, it was very tasty. A lot of GF items on the menu which is a pleasant change for Coeliac/GF diet.

Called in for lunch. Very pleasant staff, extensive menu . Cater for allergies and make clear on menu what is in their food. Just had a sandwich which was very nice. Have booked to return for lunch with several friends, looking forward to it. Well worth a visit.

Lovely lunch today! Not your average pub grub, super fresh and tasty meals. Lots of variety on the menu from traditional English meals to Asian inspired dishes. We were pleasantly surprised with the food and the service was great too, staff are super polite and friendly! We will definitely be coming back!

Good varied menu , nice pint of Wainwright s Bitter. We had a very nice Chicken Curry and lovely Apple Pie and loads of Custard. The staff were both friendly and efficient. WELL WORTH A VISIT.

Lovely pub and atmosphere. Quite expensive though. My partner and son were not very happy with there food. However it was hot when it arrived at the table and the staff were lovely and polite

Gorgeous food, polite and friendly staff and were more than happy to bring out a birthday cake, much to my delight. They were incredibly patient with us, despite the high number of guests. Would definitely recommend!

Fabulous, the food first class . Sunday lunch the best in town. The host was a very friendly person who had attention to detail down as priority. We all had a lovely Sunday lunch from my mother in law ordering a child's lamb dinner, which was ample. I had the beef, which just melted in your mouth. The gravy to die for. All the vegetables , mash and roast potatoes served with a lovely Yorkshire pudding. The meal was unbeatable. My husband had a trio of meats also exceptional. What a way to spend Sunday. The Midway is very popular and you can see why, would advisor to book in advance to save disappointment. Will definitely return. Well done 👏 ✔

Well what can I say but an absolute massive THANK YOU to Paul & pauline &staff for all your amazing work last night..the food was amazing..we had the best time celebrating my 60th birthday..all 32 of us!!❤️‍ ❤️‍ xx
