The Royal Oak in Stockport

Lovely place but a big big bigshame about the food as its all microwaved apart from frozen chips cheese onion pie all mushy and served in a dish this is not a plate pie and stake pudding no taste very very bland just a waste of money and we were the only two people eating would not recommend food in this place as would not return again

Good old fashioned boozer, friendly atmosphere with a good selection of beers, Ales and top shelf mixture too

Nice pub! Been re-furbished before pandemic began! Good choice of drinks and they serve nice homely food! All-rounda nice place!!!

Went in for a drink with friends while on a night out. Nice pub but very noisy with karaoke blaring out and overly enthusiastic bar staff who cleared glasses but also took full drinks off the table.

Great pub,great decor nice atmosphere.Very clean, happy and friendly bar staff and drinks are a reasonably priced we will be back soon

Good food. Huge portions. Great price. Great staff and friendly people. It's Also a dog-friendly pub. What more could you ask for?

Had my daughters christening here. All I can say is 10/10. Couldn't of done more. Food was absolutely perfect 💯 👌🏼, all the guests to the party contacted us saying how perfect the venue was. Cheryl, her partner and all the bar staff went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend the Royal Oak for just a drink through the week, a bit of food or a full on function. What a lovely pub. No pretentious pricey drinks or meals.Instead, it offers fabulously prices beers & wines of good quality.The menu is varied and inexpensive for the qualityIt's all served with a smile.

I would have given 3 stars because of the beautiful decor however the food and overall experience is what lowered the score. I had a really bad tummy after eating here, that I had to take imodium. The beef roast was overcooked and the mash potato was hard which I think is what led me to have a poorly tummy. The atmosphere wasn't welcoming enough and staff didn't recognise customers or tables sat at, quite strange really. If you read the reviews which I did whilst I was there, (too late) they all have the same theme.

Eaten here twice last week, both times absolutely amazing from start to finish. Lovely welcoming staff who were quick to bring us our orders, the food was amazing, best gammon and steak we have had in a long time. Also really great with kids as took my 2 children in. Would definitely recommend. Looking forward to going again this weekend for a couple of drinks in the sun! Thank you Royal Oak. Xx
