Walkers Retreat is a lovely local independent coffee shop. Great for a brew and a light meal or delicious freshly baked cakes.

This place is lovely , my friend and I meet up about once a month and this is becoming our go to for a morning coffee and small bite to eat. It's clean and tidy and plenty of space to get between tables. The staff are all very pleasant and don't leave you hanging about for drinks and soon after comes the food. The poached eggs on toast was done to perfection and the iced coffee was lovely , my friend enjoyed her cheese crumpets too. Lovely place to go for a chat and catch up .

Very slow to get food out as they'd run out of lettuce and had to go buy some more! I wasn't told until I'd already waited for 20 mins for a sandwich on a day when there were only few customers. The sandwich eventually came after about 45 minutes. It was not worth the wait.

Lovely atmosphere. Very busy and relaxed, staff were accommodating in fitting me in the tearoom. Can recommend the cherry scones

Lovely little tea room. Staff were very nice and they have nice treats fresh! They have a light lunch menu which is great and high chair for the baby. (Kids menu also!) Cake was superb. Would visit again 💕

Delicious afternoon tea, simply yummy, lots to eat, great flavours and textures, a treat not to be missed. Staff are lovely and attentive couldn't ask for more.
