Woodford park Garden Centre Restaurant in Stockport

Very nice cafe with plenty of room. Large range of plants and gardening tools. Gift shop and also clothes available. Staff very helpful.

It’s a lovely garden centre with so much potential but what always baffles me is why they have a show play area which children aren’t actually allowed to play on 🤣. So what happens is, the kids see the play area and get told they can’t go on it, tantrums and then we leave…. Make the play area public! We tend to visit Wilmslow instead now purely on this fact when we do actually prefer the cafe and plants from Notcutts.

Have visited the cafe here several times. Nice modern cafe with plenty of seating, however the food is average and the service is very poor. Don't visit between 11.30 am and 12 noon as you can't have breakfast or lunch! Always have to go to the till to ask for the bill as service at the table is non existent.

First visit today, sadly what could have been a pleasant wander around the shop was ruined by the poor service generally in the restaurant, and extreme rudeness in particular from the woman making the hot drinks. When I approached her after waiting at our table for ten minutes I was abruptly told to take a seat and just wait to be served from our table, then when I had the temerity to politely bring back a baby chino that was so hot it would have scolded our baby had we not checked first she scowled, grabbed the cup off me and poured cold milk into it, and handed it back without looking or saying anything to me. Disgustingly bad, will not be back!

Called for lunch,17Dec.21...I had a steak and ale pie which was delicious, with peas, fine beans and tender stemmed broccoli. It is most gratifying to record the attention paid to the importance of vegetables. All for £12.95.

A good garden centre with lots of choice on plants and shrubs. Nice cafe and additional ranges of clothes and gifts. Excellent pet section with helpful staff.

Just wanted to say thank you to Dave for being very patient and kind with me whilst not only helping me choose my Christmas Tree today, but also with helping me figure out whether or not it would fit in my car, and then proceeding to help me put it in said car. Please can someone thank him again for me, and tell him it’s a good job we didn’t go for the taller tree as this one only just fits ha! Amazing service!! I’ll definitely be back! Thanks so much Sam

Excellent selection of Christmas decorations and treats. Some clothing lines have 20% off if in need of present ideas for others or yourself. Also cheeses/pates/jams/cakes and frozen foods to tempt. Staff are very helpful

We were not impressed with the restaurant or the food served. We visited the centre to look at and buy a few Xmas bits and decided to use the restaurant. It was busy, but we were seated quite quickly, the gent who seated us(3 people) took our order! 40min later I asked a member of the team if they could check on the food order as we had seen other people being served food when they came in after we did,, she never came back to me, even though she passed our table 3-4 times with other people's food. 10min after this my wife asked the same gent who took the order if he could chase the order, 2 minutes later it turned up!! We waited nearly an hour for 1x fish and chips, 1x seasonal turkey bun with chipolata sausage, stuffing and cranberry sauce, with 2 roast potatoes and gravy (didn't look anything like the advert photo), 1x fruit scone!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!
