The Fishnet...where should I start. 3 - 4 years ago this was the best chip shop in the north west with a plethora of different fish to choose from, the "fat" in the fryers was changed regularly and staff friendly and appreciative of your continued custom and support. Now 3 - 4 years later, the chippy has changed hands. The pine oil in the fryers has been replaced with a poorer cheaper alternative which isn't changed at all.The fish is a lucky dip and wouldn't want to know where it came from. The portions are meagre at best and the price has sky rocketed I can only presume this is because of the lack of business as the quality has taken a nose dive.

Used to be the best chip shop in Ashton. I don't understand how you can get served overcooked chips which are completely raw in the middle! Will be finding somewhere else from now on

Come here about once a week & always enjoy the fish & chips. The fish is cooked to perfection. Friendly staff too.

Smallest piece of cod I've ever been served, definitely not value for money 😠

Possibly the best fish I’ve tasted, chips were good as well! My mum liked it that much she had another piece of fish.

Very nice fish and chips! £6 for fish, chips, peas, bread and a drink. Good portions, clean and lovely staff. Pity upstairs dining room is closed.
