Nice big pub serving food and carvery got loads of TVs showing all sports even one outside ideal for summer plenty of parking there's a wacky warehouse and pool table. The staff were friendly and helpful but seemed short staffed the service was very amateurish the food was okay but loads of things missing and not what menu described when complained told they didn't have it and that was it no alternative or compensation. The carvery was finished early even though they suppose to serve till eight. When asked they said weren't many in . The drinks aren't the cheapest but if you use the app you can get a few free pints and good discounts. Nice pint of Guinness separate pub bit a bit separate from the restaurant part good for a few drinks. Travel lodge next door

Absolutely brilliant, not just brilliant "for a cheap chain pub" but brilliant full stop. Rump steak was cooked to perfection with no massive rind of fat to make up the weight, better than I've had in certain steak houses. Staff friendly, polite and helpful. Locals very enthusiastic about football (sadly at the expense of being able to watch the 6 nations rugby).

Visited for the first time today. Got there just after food service started. Staff all attentive and the food we had was enjoyed by all. The carvery looked great too but I had the macaroni cheese.Plenty of group seating too and very comfortable.Would recommend.

My wife booked a valentines meal here yesterday evening at 1900. I had the 8oz steak well done cooked perfectly and my husband had the mixed grill medium rare. All come together and was as expected. The waitress was a pleasant young blonde girl couldn’t do enough for us and was waited on hand and foot. The whole front section was decorated for valentines what a beautiful addition to our night that wasn’t expected. We will be back again soon and have already booked for a meal this weekend. 5* from us

I visited the mottram tonight with friends for a valentines meal. What a lovely evening the pub was dressed beautifully. The food was great as usual and the added treat of having a waitress meant we didn’t have to even get up for a drink. Thank you so much to the manager Jessica for this wonderful evening. We will definitely be booking again next year. The mottram seems to be improving every time we visit it’s great to have it on our door step.

Went for a big all day breakfast, eyeing up the carvery as the meats looked tempting but I came with a craving which was fulfilled! Happily made adjustments for me (no tomato but extra mushroom, also have options for extras), hash browns were the star of the show, super tasty perfectly cooked. I'm gutted I didn't ask for runny eggs, I know everyone likes them different and they was a little but I should have asked for sunny side up eggs, I'll remember that for next time.The soft drinks are overpriced in my opinion, £3 for a pint £2 for a half or somewhere there. Otherwise me and my mates had a good time. Nice atmosphere friendly welcoming and helpful staff both the bar and table service, thanks guys!

Lovely people who made me feel welcome and went out of their way to help. A young girl(unfortunately didn’t get her name) was so helpful on the day of my dads funeral and throughout my 3 day stay. The food was cooked and presented really well, compliments to the chef.

Visited today with family,Great atmosphere the three ladies on shift were very friendly and welcoming,We had a mixture of carvery and menu food all perfect and tasted great.Will definitely visit again and was amazing to see the pub fundraising for macmillan with passion.

Came here with my children to the wacky warehouse. Lovely staff, nice and clean and really nice food. My kids really enjoyed it. It does need some work doing to it and if that happened it would be even better.
