I went to Nottcuts Ashton this morning looking for advice re the swarms of flies coming from my indoor plants. We spoke to a employee called Stuart who was fantastic - he knew exactly what the problem was and what the best course of action was. He offered excellent customer service. A really knowledgeable, helpful, approachable and friendly employee. Many thanks Stuart.

Love this store. Close to Snipe Retail Park and with a tram station in front of it, i could not ask for more. The in house coffee offers great things to eat at good prices and the coffee itself is very nice. They have so much more than just garden items, household, aquariums and fish, hamsters, parrots and clothing especially for outdoors.Notcutts in Ashton Park makes a great place even if it is just to visit with the kids or to have a nice cosy coffee.

Breakfast was nice although the various locations fried egg lottery continues, 2 good eggs on the same breakfast seems a challenge to far for many places.Shop nice and quiet on a Monday morning although I suspect as the Christmas build up continues maybe not so much.

Called today for the first time to have lunch with my friend, the cafe was bright and spotless, the staff were helpful and cheerful and the food was lovely. We had a ploughman's each and tea. The food was freshly made and tasty. We had a look round the garden centre and found the plants varied and healthy, and the food, gifts, clothes and cards had something for everyone. The pet section looked spotless and I will be back with the grandchildren next week.

Called in to have coffee and cake in the cafe, which was very busy but nice to see. They were following guidelines for covid rules. The Carrot cake was delicious and the coffee was nice and hot.The garden centre was very nicely decorated, getting ready for Christmas 🎄. I would highly recommend a visit there.

It's not just a garden centre!Everything that you could want for the garden and so much more.Christmas has arrived atNotcutts and it is a wonderland of every colour of bauble imaginable, it really gets you in the festive mood walking down well laid out aisles to suit every taste of Christmas design. The pet section again has a wide range of products. You can even buy small pets or just ooooo and ahhhh at the baby fluffy bunnies on sale.Edinburgh wool Mill and Regatta shops are there too.An aquarium section has a comprehensive range of all requirements and the kids will love looking at the large tank of tame coi carp or they can take home a goldfish to care for.The cafe at Notcutts is amazing. The choice of food is the best of any garden centre that I've ever seen. I have coeliac disease and have to stick to a gluten free diet, the cafe has a very tasty selection of foods for coeliacs. The cod and chips with mushy peas is made and prepared by the chef and is amazing! When I visited today though I had gluten free cream tea, I've never found anywhere else that has this and it was a first for me. The scones are made, again, at the cafe and they are delicious and amazing. The seating area inside is spacious and bright with a little kiddies play area. Lovely outside eating area too.So yes Notcutts is somewhere you can spend an enjoyable couple of hours or so even if you don't want anything for the garden but I bet you'll go home with a plant or two.
