Rising Moon in Tameside

Just been out for lunch in the Rising Moon. The owners and staff are very welcoming. The food was amazing I don’t know if they have a different chef to when the last owners were there but it was delicious. We will defo be back especially to taste the chicken wings especially 😋

Attended a family party last night at The Rising Moon. The venue and food were brilliant but what was more impressive were the staff, even though a lot are quite young they were so mature, professional, welcoming and looked after all 50 plus guests incredibly well. We had such a fantastic evening! Big thanks to Adele (sorry for rocking up with a cake without a cover.. .lol), Ellie and the young man from Aberdeen whose name escapes me (so sorry). Well done guys and thank you. X

We've been to this place numerous times since moving to the area and it's been pretty faultless, however yesterday was definitely our final visit. Packet mash was big disappointment for everyone in our party and I know a few places that deliver far better than yesterday's poor service. Sunday roasts were nothing like they used to be, no follow ups to check if everyone was happy with their food and having to visit the bar to order more drinks? No thank you!

Went for lunch with our Crown Green Bowling Team and had a wonderful time. The food was amazing, I had a marvellous Sunday roast. All in all a really lovely afternoon topped up with the best of friends ❤

Brilliant pub. Great food great location. Only given four stars because we were in at half one and they had booked the table back out for three. It's a good job we didn't have starters and desserts

We had my partners 40th meal here and the staff were amazing. We were a large table of 30 and took up the back room.We did a preorder and the chef was really helpful as we had some dietary requirements including vegan, milk free and a peanut allergy. He checked everything, offered to make special dishes for our vegan guest and ordered in vegan ice cream!The food was all served together and everyone enjoyed their meals. The kids meals were really good and they were able to cater for our milk allergy sufferer.The staff were so friendly and attentive.We just had a really good time and would highly recommend the rising moon.The new management clearly know what they are doing!

Been here a few times now and it's always lovely

Very nice venue, food was a bit disappointing however. The roast beef sandwich I had was very tasty however, the beef had not been trimmed up before cooking. This meant there was some very tough connective tissue which sadly didn't render down well. Because it was a sandwich there was no way to see this and cut off, instead I ended up having to chew it for a while and then spit out. Shouldn't really happen with meat going on a sandwich and a little more attention to detail is needed, also the bread was not buttered which again was a bit disappointing.Apart from that, I would still recommend as the beef itself was good quality and well cooked. Staff were pleasant and efficient.

Absolutely fantastic food service and management ... feel.so welcome there that we have eaten there 2 evenings on the run ... our little doggy loves it there and the team are so lovely with her xx definitely worth a visit the Steak pie and apple n cinnamon crumble are to die for ....portions really good make sure you are very hungry

Had a hair in my Sunday dinner and I was given a new dinner once I told staff about the hair. However, the waiter tried to absolve himself and the establishment of any responsibility telling me that the chefs were all bald so it couldn't have been them. When the bill came nothing had been taken off and the waiter refused to take any money off explaining that I could have a coffee or dessert. I advised that I didn't want this as we were leaving and asked them to take something off the bill as a gesture of good will. The waiter refused to take money off the bill stating that they had given me a new dinner so wouldn't take any money off. This conversation went on for around 10 minutes with me trying to explain why they should take money off the bill and the waiter being extremely dismissive of this. After asking to speak to the manager they eventually took £5 off the bill. I had to eat my dinner whilst everyone else in our party had finished and the waiter said that despite having a hair in my food and having to eat seperately to everyone else, I should have been happy that they replaced my food for me and shouldn't have asked for money off the bill. Shocking customer service. Clearly this waiter had no training and doesn't know the appropriate way to deal with an unhygienic hair in a meal. If they had dealt with this better I'd be happy to return as the food was good but I would never return there after seeing how they dealt with this. A woman on the table behind us found plastic in her meal. I'm not sure how they dealt with this but I hope they responded to her more appropriately than they dealt with me.
