The Hartshead Vintage Inn in Tameside

Joshua and team hartshead are absolutely amazing. The food is beautiful the presentation is awesome the location is stunning. We would highly recommend this pub 💯💯💯💯 we will definitely be coming back again. Well done team from the Hewitt family.

First time eating here since we saw there’s a vegan option for a Sunday roast and my word, it was sensational! Candied veg with full roast dinner trimmings - all vegan! Lovely soup for starter and a caramel torte for pudding. Absolutely tremendous. Thanks so much guys!

I've been here a few times. First time for a drink and once for a meal. Thr first time i remember a couple complaining about their food being bad and getting a refund. The second time i ordered food myself and it was very low effort and bland. This was especially bad due to the high price. The staff were friendly and it's in a nice location.If i was anyone id go here for a drink and pass on the food...

We love the Vintage Inn chain. Always very clean, with friendly staff, and great food. Slightly more expensive than most pubs, but you get a better experience we think :) Has wheelchair access too and easy parking

Had a fantastic meal here today, all very tasty, and the presentation on the dessert was fantastic. Very accommodating of our slightly noisy puppy.

So disappointed. If you check my reviews we’ve been here a lot before and loved it, however last night was a huge disappointment.To start with there was a limited menu which wasn’t mentioned when we booked the table, I was ok as I wanted steak but my partner had to have the steak as there was nothing else on the menu she liked. We asked if there was other options and was told no.Then we waited nearly 10 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, then another 10 minutes for our food order to be taken. The place was nowhere near busy so I suspected they were trying to slow everything down so it had a bit of ambience for longer. The soup was Luke warm as well when it arrived.A minor irritation is when somebody comes in after you and gets their food before you, we finished our starters long before them(slow eaters) and they still got their mains before us.When my steak did arrive it was well done instead of medium, that was after the waitress didn’t have a clue which steak was which, swapped them once and we had to swap them back after cutting into them. Talking of cutting into them, my partner had to go to the bar and get our own steak knives, we got no condiments at all and none offered, a neighbouring table when and took the salt and pepper from another table.We will probably be back because I hope this was a one off.

Lovely meal, great service and nice location. Came here this afternoon with my sister for a later lunch. We really liked the food and service was excellent. I had the veg and lentil lasagne and it was really really good. Top marks for that!! Sister had the steak sandwich which we really enjoyed. Would have been 5* except the chips were served in a chopped pot and 2 of the glasses came with lipstick marks on from previous guest. But don't let that put you off, the food was very good and so was the service!

Surroundings excellent. Staff welcoming. Food exceptional slightly different from the norm. A great evening.

Lovely pub with very friendly staff. The food was fantastic. I had lamb which was pink and tender with the side dishes oozing as much flavour. I be going back

Lovely meal! Me and wife loved the food and the atmosphere. Very comfy seating. The restaurant/pub has beautiful scenery and outside seating too. We’ll definitely be coming back.The only thing that let it down was some things on the menu being too pricy. My flatbread had too much flour on the bottom of it which ruined the taste. The chips tasted like oven chips.The staff were lovely.
