Cork of the North Wine Shop and Wine Bar in Trafford

A group of us are in the Spanish who dont serve alcohol so they send us next door for wine as they give 'discount'. The girls never heard of this, so no matter i buy a bottle for £13.50 and she charges me £18.99. Apparently they are cashless and cant give refunds so ask if id like another bottle, silly me thought this was a gesture of good will, but no she wants to charge me for it. When i decline it doesnt stop there, im now asked if id the the refund in crisps, maybe to go with our Spanish i wonder? Another alternative is that i make an hour round trip back to the shop on another occasion, call me unreasonable i didn't fancy this. Eventually a little initiative prevailed and she spoke to a manager who showed her how to make a refund, although at time of writing the money hasn't cleared, so bad its literally laughable 😂

Great place for good wine, but perhaps more importantly great service. The food - meats and cheese boards - is well worth a try. The produce they use is of good quality.

Long time to get served and no cheese board on a Saturday night.. Shame we took family from out if town and we had bigged up the place! But we felt let down..

Did their online wine tasting which was excellent, subsequently bought a few bottles of wine from them. Marc also helped me track down a bottle of red equivalent to one I had thoroughly enjoyed in Sardinia several years ago.

A great place to meet friends over a glass of wine. There's hundreds to choose from. The staff are very welcoming and professional whats not to like.

I love visiting Cork of the North: The welcome is always friendly, the advice is informative and well explained. The wines I been recommended have never been less than excellent. I love that I have discovered a whole lot more to wines through Mark and the teams expertise, as well as being introduced to some wines that I would never have even noticed without his guidance. Truley expert guidance from Mark and the team. If only all wine shops/bars were like this! See you folk Soon!

Lovely atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon.Staff are very friendly and seem to enjoy interacting with the customers with their knowledge of wine and spirits.They also have a ridiculously good selection of wine, beer and spirits, particularly Gin, to purchase and take away.Sale has been screaming out for a place like this and let's hope the regeneration of Northenden road continues with this cosmopolitan feel.

Great merchants with a fantastic choice of top class wines, coupled with excellent all round customer service. I believe they quote, ' the best wine, at the best prices, delivered directly to your door'. Well that pretty much sums it up. I will continue to use, many thanks so far.
