Food is the same so no complaints. The staff however are not up to standards, they don't make you feel welcome, it almost feels like they're there because they have to be, not polite or helpful. They seem to be happier walking around than to tent to customers who need them. When they do help, it's not with a smile, it's forced! Not satisfactory!!

Even though we booked our table we felt like an inconvenience. Manager turned back on us as he told waitress to push two tables together. Over 40 min wait for food (with a toddler is not fun), had to chase drinks, desserts, cutlery and a takeaway box for our food which came 15 mins later. Waiter had no idea what was on the menu and even lied to us. He even rolled his eyes when we gave no tip. Not what we expected from a Pizza Express considering we’ve been so many times. I hope this is an isolated event and it doesn’t happen to others.

Had a lovely meal at pizza express, all food hot and delicious. The manager Patrick was extra helpful when we enquired to pay by Trafford Centre gift card, we originally had been told by someone else we could however we actually couldn’t but only found that out at the end of the meal. He couldn’t of been anymore helpful and kind and actually paid for the meal for the inconvenience. Really great customer service. Thanks Patrick

Had an awful experience for lunch today, arrived at pizza express at 14:15 and was taken to the table straight away. Service from the waitresses was great, we were served straight away and our drinks delivered within 10 minutes, we then ordered food at 14:25 which was 2 portions of dough balls and 2 pizzas (burnt ends and a classic pizza). We received our dough balls at 14:43, which was fine, and they were nicely cooked, once we finished the plates were taken away. We expected maybe a 10 minute wait in-between the starters and the mains but it got to 15:40 when we asked one of the waitresses where the food was, she advised there was only 3 people working the kitchen but the restaurant wasn't even that busy and we had been waiting almost an hour for 2 pizzas!! When the food finally came out it was tasty but we didn't have the best experience as by the time we finished eating our food the shops had closed so we wasted a hell of a lot of time just waiting for a meal which should have been about 30-45 minutes but ended up being nearly 2 hours! Crazy we had to wait this long, definitely won't be going to the Trafford Centre pizza express again! Don't bother if you're expecting a quick service!

Pizza express is a firm favourite for me and my boys so after a difficult week I gave in to taking them for a Friday night treat. After ordering we waited with no communication for over an hour before I had to ask the staff (who were all stood chatting around the kitchen) where our food order was. By now my boys were becoming understandably challenging and wanted to go elsewhere. About 15 minutes later our food finally arrived and one of the boys pizzas was clearly burned but at this point he would eat anything. No communication or apology from who I assume was the manager being the only one in a shirt - even though he was in the group of staff I addressed about the order. Once we finished the meal we heard 2 waitresses moaning about making another families dessert and had enough so we asked for the bill. The only thing making up the 2 stars was an apologetic female staff member (petite, curly hair) who managed to make my boys laugh and my pizza was a little pricey but enjoyable.

The rudeness was uncalled for! We arrived at 13.07 the supervisor (I'm guessing as he was wearing a different top to the others) came to great us and refused to seat us when there were loads of empty tables. He said bookings only, twirled around and walked off. No friendly i want to help you tones, or suggestions to book just rude. I got my phone and made a reservation for 13.45, then reappeared at 13.20 the couple arriving just before us had no booking and they were not turned away, they were seated straight away. We had just sat down a waiter came to get or drinks order, I replied we haven't looked at the menu yet, he just walked off. My daughter asked for crayons and was told they had none left, yet later we saw her offer colours to other customers. We ordered all of our food at the same time yet it took well over an hour for our main. I asked for our order to be chased up was told it will be 5 minutes yet still no pizza, or apology another waiter came over with the wrong pizza. Eventually our meal came, the kids were by this point board and didn't even want to wait for their dessert that came with the meal. No apologies offered I understand if sometimes it's busy it might take longer or even if was forgotten about at least own it and say sorry. He had taken the pizza and kids meal off the bill but didn't attempt to communicate. It was not even busy, communication can mask a whole load of mistakes and still keep the customer happy. Re training is desperately required at this branch no one looked happy to be there.

Usually a favourite of ours, but today was absolutely awful - made particularly bad by our waiter who had a "don't care attitude". We had a reservation at 2pm, arrived at 1.45pm and by 3.25pm we still hadn't received our pizza. My 3yr old son was getting bored by this point and kept asking for his pizza, and when we did ask our waiter, we recieved the comment of "it's cooking mate". Not to mention how slow he was at filling in our drink orders, clearing our starter plates, and forgot our side order. My pizza was just about warm and the same for my son. My husbands was actually hot. We didn't even bother asking for the dessert menu and just left as soon as possible. Not convinced I will be returning, which is such a shame as Mel, a waitress we have been assigned previously, was amazing.

This is our third different pizza express visit since covid and there seems to be an inherent problem in service across them all. This visit we didn't receive our a apettisors or dough balls until I went to ask the staff ( too busy chatting and in mobile phones) apology given and told we wouldn't be charged, but we then still only received the olives. 2 out if 3 pizzas arrived, 1 burnt around the edge. Staff were completely unaware we were missing a pizza. We had finished by the time it eventually arrived. Tables around us were complaining of similar issues with missing dishes. Completely disorganized and resentful staff led to a very unsatisfactory birthday experience.

Me and my partner made a last minute decision to come to pizza express for our date night, and I'm glad we did! The food was beautiful and the waitress Mel made our experience even more lovely! She was really attentive, sweet and she made us laugh! Will definitely return! Thank you Mel ☺️

Good customer service. Pizzas tasted great! Spacious seating throughout the restaurant too.
