A lovely restaurant with amazing staff!

Salvi's never disappoints. Not once! Try and order a disappointing dish - I dare you. From the moment you walk down the stairs through the deli you are treated to the best food, drink, and service in Manchester. An excellent selection of vegetarian starters and mains for my partner, and some unreal choices of meaty meals for me. To top it off, on one visit the staff somehow found it was my birthday, and I was treated to the most melodious version of Happy Birthday in my 26 miserable years on this planet. I cannot recommend Salvi's enough - an easy five stars.

Looking for outdoor eating on a sunny Saturday, my daughter and I chose here.I wish I had acted on the red flags warning me this was not going to be a good experience and walked away. However in need of refulling, decided to take our table. The greeting was cool on a warm day and the mediocre food could have been forgiven if the service was of a good standard yet the rude and dismissive staff just added to the already bad taste in the mouth. It was the £28 bottle of wine we devoured to ease the pain of this experience. Our request for Salt was ignored by the male waiter and was clearly an inconvenience when i asked another staff member; whose face was like thunder and she was evidently harrassed by the busy service which was her excuse for the delay in our whole order.Other customers were complaining and others got up and left before even ordering. Whilst I recognise it was busy, the experience should not be marred by moody staff who clearly lack manners or customer servce skills. The vibe for the place is created by the passers by. It is not a place I would retun to and definitely not one that I will be recommending.

Once of the (if not the) most authentic Italians in Manchester. Food is very fresh, tasty and done just like Nonna would make!My only issue is that it is slightly overpriced for the types of dishes and the type of service. I would recommend it however I think other places do just as good dishes for a better price.

First time I came in October I was really disappointed with the service but decided to give it another try because the food is amazing. The change is incredible, the staff are so attentive and I enjoyed my dining experience. Note: they did add a 10% service charge.

The girl who serves and takes the orders need better speak in English.... I have asked 4 times for a water in the end up our experience I finally got it. I also asked a pizza for a starter with no artichokes she couldn't understand me and came twice checking what I don't want on pizza and she keep asking if I don't want mushrooms ( mushrooms is my favourite thing eat). When finally after 20 min she got it that I don't want artichokes....My partner and I ordered pizza for a starter to share and pasta for a main. I have explained to the waitress that we will have a pizza to share and pasta after we finish ... when pizza came the waitress said that pasta is on the way I was like on my God! I explained again how we want our meal sk she managed to sort it out with the chef...How CAN I EAT PIZZA AND PASTA AT THE SAME TIME Oh MY GOSH. ALL THE CERVICE WAS something that I never existence but the food was fantastic buy as I said service was tragic!

Used to love Salvi's on John Dalton Street, so was super sad when it closed over the pandemic. Didn't have a chance to visit its original restaurant until now!The restaurant at the Corn Exchange is tucked away downstairs while a deli/shop with lots of Italian goodies sits upstairs. The staff are friendly and the food was delicious! Proper good Italian comfort food. Would highly recommend if you want authentic Italian cuisine!

Stood waiting to be seated for an age whilst the man behind the bar and the 2 waitresses deliberately ignored us. Once we were finally seated the Rest of the visit was ok. Will never return due to the first 5 minutes where we were abandoned by the 3 staff members.
