My Daughter had the ice cream which she loved. Nice selection of chocolates. Friendly staff.

Literally the driest brownie ever and cost almost £4 for a tiny square 😂

Ice Cream hazelnut is just ice cream with hazelnut bits. It's ok, but it's definetly not what I expected.

Today I visited Sam joeseph chocolates and I was kindly greeted by big soft Geordie fella the one and only “Sam”, cracked a smile and a few jokes, I got the infamous sticky toffee pudding it was amazing you definitely need to try if you ever come to the picturedrome! Also do this at Alty market! Went back and too hone a lovely selection of goodies in clouding the chocolate covered honey comb! I really recommend this place it’s ace!

Been to Sam Joseph’s many times now, my personal favourite is the sticky toffee pudding he does; however, recently got a selection of exciting chocolates and the hazelnut praline was amazing!

Firstly, I love Alti market and have been coming here for years. But today I had a really terrible experience.I ordered a milkshake from Sam Joseph’s earlier today. When it came, it was so thick and warm, I couldn’t drink it through the straw. It just tasted like warm, melted ice cream in a cup, which is obviously not what a milkshake should be. It was so unpleasant that after one spoonful, I decided to take it back. I politely told Sam Joseph (who was the only member of staff behind the counter), that the consistency was too thick. I would have been totally happy if he’d have added some cold milk to it and wizzed it up again, but the reaction I got was so hostile. He was very aggressive and refused to acknowledge my feedback. He just kept telling me that I was wrong. He then tried to shame me by telling me that ‘everyone’ loves his milkshakes and repeatedly called me ‘WEIRD’ for thinking otherwise. He asked me what he was meant to do with the milkshake I was unhappy with...After realising his bullying behaviour would not work on me, he eventually refunded me and threw the receipt at me. He also threw the glass with the milkshake in it, straight into the bin to further convey his attitude towards me. I honestly have NEVER been spoken to like that...and I work with teenagers! It was so over the top and absurd, like something out of a comedy sketch. I was stood trying to convince this man that there should be milk in a milkshake, as well as some ice-cream.It may be that he was just having a really REALLY bad day - we all have them! And I personally know just how stressful running a small business is, but customer relations is the backbone of your company. I’m sure that on reflection, he would probably (I hope!) agree that he didn’t handle this in the best way and learn from it.Finally, on a human level, if you can’t AT LEAST be POLITE to a person who is CLEARLY undergoing CANCER treatment, then something has gone terribly wrong; probably something a lot more important than chocolates and milkshakes.

We bought some if Sam's salted caramel brownies from the Dickensian markets at Cheadle today 2/12. They were absolutely delicious, firm, moist and full of chocolate flavour with some gentle hint of caramel and salt, perfect.Well done Sam.

Went there today, really awful service from the girl in the shop. She was on her phone texting and I had to say excuse me about three times until she came to serve me. She was rude and refused to bring the 2 hot chocolates that I ordered to our table. She seemed ok doing it for other people. Maybe she has a problem with people of colour. The hot chocolates that she made were luke warm and tepid. I won't be ever buying anything from Joseph's chocolates again. If she is your employee, you need to train her on her customer service skills!

I never tire of their wonderful hot chocolate. A real delicious treat. A world apart from sweet sickly 'Cadburyesque' hot chocolate. Thoroughly recommend as an alternative to coffee.
