Sokrates Taverna in Trafford

Lovely staff, food was delicious and very reasonably priced, really impressive service from more or less one waitress doing all the front of house for the whole restaurant. It’s a small place but impressive and admirable all the same and it’s clear the staff work very hard. (Didn’t catch our waitress’s name but she was fantastic; the service was quick and she was friendly, polite and very attentive.)Please go and try Sokrates Taverna but only if you plan to tip! They deserve every penny.

Food wasn’t bad, was lacking salt and when asked, a salt shaker was given. When our table was cleared, another waitress removed the salt from the table and said very loudly to the waitress who gave us the salt “Do not give salt to anyone!! Even when they ask!!” The poor waitress was confused as to why she was being shouted at for this.If they are going to be so offended when someone asks for salt, maybe try seasoning the food before sending it out. The ‘fried potatoes’ which turned out to be chips were not salted at all. It wasn’t as though we asked for some vinegar to put on! Spoiled a nice evening out to be honest.

Totally let down, usually go Kosmos Taverna, Fallowfield, but due to its closure had to find an alternative, loud, busy, enjoyed wine, starter and main, then no one asked were we ok, did we want anything else, was everything ok??? Nothing, put our costs on, still no one came, very bad service, never again!!! Paid the bill and left!

Lovely little taverna. Very authentic, delicious food, good portions, friendly chatty staff and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back when we visit family in Sale again.

Tasty food, however we felt it was overpriced for what it was. £19 for this dish, which was enjoyable but nothing special

On Saturday the 20th December 2019 four of us ate here. From start to finish the whole experience was great. We ordered the meze for 4 but the waiter told us that would be way too much and just order it for 2. He was right, and wow the food was lovely evey dish was fresh and full of flavor. Even our fussy eater found something that they liked. Each plate was just as tasty as the last. They even gave us complimentary desserts. The staff were great, very accomodating and even found mayo for the chips. We even boxed the leftovers to take home. Loved it, and will definitely be back soon. Thanks for a great evening xwe were enjoying it that much we forgot to take photos lol
