The Boathouse in Trafford

Sunday dinner was lovely , no mash though and peas on the dinner was a new one but lovely none the less.

I've not been here for year and after today I don't know why I don't go more often. There's a fantastic view of the lake from the restaurant. My friends and I all had the early bird menu option. I had smoked mackerel pate with cream cheese, toast and a small salad. My friends had broccoli soup with poppy seed bread and butter. And tuna and egg with salad. Cheese and onion pie with magnificent crispy, crunchy chips and beans. Steak pie with lots of steak in the filling and gravy and a haddock and chips. Three of us had soft whippy ice cream and sauce and an apple and blackberry crumble and custard was devoured very quickly. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We'll definitely be back

The food it always really good. The waitress that have been there for years are fantastic. Approachable and friendly. The newer staff/Managers need to be get that balance right. Décor could do with an update but it's been like that for years, it's seems it's part of the character now.

My family and I came last night to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. We all had a fantastic meal and the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. They let me bring the cake and even brought it to the table at the end of our meal with a couple of candles on. We will certainly be going again.

Been here so often over the years and can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. The staff are really warming and helpful and the menu is just what you'd expect from a typical English restaurant that's well established with choices such as prawn cocktail, breaded garlic mushrooms and pate starters to a selection of steaks, fish, chicken and vegetarian option main meals. Recently I had the mixed grill and had to share with my boy as it was amazing and the plate was full of perfectly cooked meats and sides. The steak at 6oz was to die for. Also the view out into sale water park just adds to the atmosphere of the place. We'll worth a visit and you can always burn off the calories with a walk round the park afterwards 👍

The sea bass was amazing, the meal was too. Chocolate and orange cake was the best by far. Staff was polite, helpful and there was no rushing you for tables. Couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend and will be definitely going again.

First time here and the staff were so lovely and chatting to us while watching a lady swim in the water park in the snow. Madness. The food was amazing delicious and just enough. Definitely go again. The view from our table was the best. We went again last night with the family this time and once again the food was delicious and the staff are so friendly.

A great place to go to at Sale Waterpark brilliant food for all the family with vegetarian and vegan options available from starters to mains with drinks on draft available so if you fancy a quick drink then this is also an option. You also have a good view of the lake and the surrounding area for a nice relaxing atmosphere. Definitely good for Sunday roast with a selection of beef, turkey, lamb, and nutloaf for the vegetarian option 😋 . Please like if this has been helpful

I visited with my wife during the Christmas break. I've not been for a few years and the food quality was much better than I had remembered it being previously. The service was very good. I had very recently had surgery and they went out of their way to make me comfortable changing my chair to something more comfortable for my stomach.

It was my first time at the boathouse i went with a friend for Sunday roast and the food was excellent and so was the service. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family you won't be disappointed 💜
