The Good Catch in Trafford

Been coming here for years and it’s has been fantastic .Not any more for me .just now greasy fish and warmed up chips(Fish fryer does not even bother to drain the fats .I personally would now not bother .same happened to the altrincham shop ( wouldn’t bother woth that one neither .

Superb. A proper traditional chippie. We actually travel to Urmston from the city centre and have haddock and chips in the car. Well worth a visit.

I brought chippy lunch yesterday really good crispy battered cod and chips nice and fresh. good service. Also the tray and forks were recyclable.

Just visiting a relative in area so first time trying this chippy as many previous stops we had varied takeaways (Indian, Chinese etc etc) - non memorableThis chippy will certainly be one we return to again. Lovely chips and decent portion plus excellent Cod. We all agreed a thumbs upFriendly staff and great service - well done and thanks 👍

If we want fish and chips, this where we go to. All cooked fresh and often busy, but service is always quick and staff are friendly.They've done a good job of coping with the effects of COVID and still keeping going, especially as the shop doesn't have a lot of room. You do have to queue outside but you can now pre-order to collect at a set time.Will be back again.

Normally everything is perfect but last week the chips were pale and soggy. 5 more minutes in the fryer please 😊The above review was placed 6 months ago. I'm happy to say the chips are now perfectly cooked as is all the other food so I've rated The Good Catch 5 stars. The staff work quickly and efficiently to minimise waiting time. Highly recommended

My wife rates them 5 stars. She absolutely loves these guys. Food is good quality. Chips are nice and fresh, without that gross old oil flavour. Priced reasonably. Operated by an entirely female front-of-house staff who are all lovely. Everything is cooked fresh - there's no hot cupboard keeping fish warm for hours.
