The Old Packet House in Trafford
Where is The Old Packet House?
🏠 1 Navigation Rd, Altrincham WA14 1LW
"The Old Packet House dates back to the 1800's, it is a warm and welcoming public house with a friendly atmosphere, selling both traditional ales and draught beer. Located by the Bridgewater Canal so convenient for walkers and cyclists. There is a spacious beer garden at the rear of the premises for those sunny days, and the inside is welcoming."

Its been many years since I've been in this pub but it still has a great feel, warm and friendly.

Nice pub. Mega expensive. Same price for a lager shandy as a pint of lager, £4.80 or so, London prices.

Amazing Staff (Including Buddy the dog) and the best pint around. Highly recommend

Do not leave a negative review as when you go back in for the first time in 2 years frying pan face refuses to serve you ,for no reason, never caused trouble, this is also the same woman who refused a 10 year old kid a glass of tap water when it was hot. I'd go over the road o the navi , a lot cheaper beer and food, better quality of staff to, even better go the quarrybank better food better beer and it is cheaper,

Food very good at reasonable prices. Service quite good although our order, for 3 people, wasn't written down resulting in one item being forgotten. I had to remind them and we were half way through before it arrived. They didn't charge me for it.

Lovely pub with a real fireplace that keeps the place toasty warm. Busy as well. However could do with some more ales on sale. Just had 3 local brews and standard lagers on tap.

Nice welcoming pub, staff are always nice and go the extra mile. Home cooked food is very nice but I had a nightmare trying to change the baby on my knee in the gents toilets. I must add as well that the prizes of soft drinks are way too high. Just shy of £4 for a pi t oflemindae/coke

Cosy pub with well kept beer. The bar, when I visited, was staffed by a very surly young man. I get very annoyed when someone says not ONE word apart from the price of beer. No greeting (even in response to mine) no thanks. Very rude.Spoiled an otherwise pleasant bar for me.Toyed with giving 3 stars, but that would be unfair to the bar, as, with different staff it would have been a pleasant experience.Left after 1 pint.

Great little quaint pub, lovely in the winter months to cosy up in here with a few beverages and a roaring open fire to keep you warm. Some of the karaoke i have heard leaves a lot to be desired but lets be honest what karaoke doesn't.Overall a lovely little pub.
