We have recently move to the area and so are unfamiliar with decent places to order from. However after ordering with here tonight, it's one place we will avoid in future. We ordered a chicken tikka masala, nothing too special yet there was absolutely zero flavour and I've never had such a watered down curry. There was so much water, we had to soak it up with napkins, which explains the lack of taste.Pretty poor to be honest.

Love the decor. Renovated old cottage. You'd love the couches. Very lay back staff. Serving you with a smile and a laughter. Food is delicious. Well recommended

Ive been eating at the Cottage for a long time but i think its now time to find another Indian. In the last few months the food has got steadily worse. The final straw was my last takeway, my madras (which has been getting more and more like gravy) was the most boring curry ive ever had. No spice, no flavour, very bland.

Love this place! Superb food and atmosphere. Not cheap. They do have an accessible toilet but it does get used as a storage cupboard sometimes. Entrance is not totally flat,. A small patch of cobbles between pavement and door with a slight step but I manage with minimal issues. Staff always willing to help. Advise booking. Also do take away!

Highly recommended. We went for an impromptu meal and were greeted at the door by friendly staff. We ordered poppadoms to start and then a lamb passanda and mixed tandoori masala for mains. Both were very tasty and we would definitely have them again. No photos I'm afraid as we were too hungry

Worth visiting to see the Blue Plaque commemorating a visit by Oliver Cromwell in 1648 following the Battles of Preston, Winnick and Warrington

The food is generally more expensive compared to other Indian restaurants but found food to be high quality.I had a meal this evening with a family of three as part of the eat out to help out. We ordered food a main meal as well as food to share, however when the bill arrived, they hadn’t provided the full 50% discount as we had shared some food. I’d been to a number of restaurants and never experienced this issue, therefore was a little disappointed.

Excellent Service, great food, superb atmosphere. Excellent food, fabulous staff and superb atmosphere. A very busy Saturday night and a venture away from the normal local scene as we ventured a little further afield to Warrington.Set in a splendid Tudor building this is a lovely Indian restaurant with character and vibe. The food didn't disappoint.A fairly extensive menu was whittled down to starters of King Prawn Puri (always get the puri separate) succulent de shelled king prawns diced in a light, spicy sauce worthy starter although puri was slightly cold. Accompanied by the obligatory lamb chops fabulous and thumbs up around. But best of all was the Seabass, we were slightly reluctant to try but persuaded and this was phenomenal, slightly spiced the flakes of Seabass were heavenly a must try and will no doubt be a firm family favourite. For the mains we were recommended by our amiable server Shafi the Lamb Naga, did come with a warning that it's a hot one but if you like it with kickers spot on tender lamb cooked with a blend of north Indian spices and naga chillies can't beat it with a garlic and chilli naan. Add a side of Dall, could eat this again. I'm not a fan of peshwari naan but my daughter is and that went down a year with the very delectable Moghal Lamb, melt of the bone, lamb shanks oven baked with medium spiced, onions and tomato creamed sauce served with baby potatoes. Oh we were fighting over this one. Medium strength dish served with massalla potatoes. Finally I'd recommend a portion of hot gulam jaman and ice cream to finish off what was an excellent evening.I'd go back and those who haven't tried it, worth a visit.
