Booked at the last minute for late this afternoon was surprised to get in to be fair. On arrival didn't have to wait long to be seated. Ordered after about 15 minutes and unfortunately waited nearly 45 minutes for food. Now here's where the 5 stars come in. The food was amazing my hubbie had the slow cooked lamb pie it was pink as we had been told it would be. Succulent pieces of lamb and plenty of it. Puff pastry top he said the best he's had in ages. I had a turkey roast dinner it was delicious and cooked to perfection. The kids enjoyed theirs as well. Staff were busy but still served us with a smile. Well done everyone x

Lovely pub, inside and outside play area for the kids. Service is lovely too! And it’s dog friendly 👏🏼

Arrived at the pub with 3 adults, 1 child and a dog. This is a child / dog friendly pub on their website. When we got there, we couldn't sit inside with the dog as it was adults only area....so leave the child outside kinda place. Didn't end up staying and went to a pub where all was accepted regardless of age. 👍🏻

Lovely and clean inside with very attentive staff. The food was really good and hot. Will definitely done here again. There's a good play area for young children as well.

Honestly for value & quality of food you can't go wrong here! Great fun for the kids too with the play area and always have specials on

Only given this a 3 star due to the food quality (which is good) it didnt get more due to the wacky wearhouse. Kids running riot, no workers actually monitoring whats going on. Idiot kids in the toddler section going head first down the slide & hitting the babies at the bottom. Trying to speak with the staff is a complelte waste fo time, all young girls with 0 experience. I asked them to kindly remind parents it was toddler section to which they looked compleltly clueless, like id just asked them to totally rebuild the whole play centre.

Ate here yesterday and I must say the improvement is striking from the last time I ate here. I went for the Halloumi and chips and it was cooked perfectly. The wife went hunters chicken and she really enjoyed it too. The portions where generous and well presented. The pub is a large place so can seem a little empty but on looking around there was a sizable clientèle.They where a little short on some drinks but I put that down to Xmas. All in all well worth the money, which isn't particularly expensive for pub grub. I can recommend the George if you want good, honest pub grub.

Out for a family meal today.Quite a nice pub in a nice location. Outdoor play space for the kids and a large indoor soft play area too.Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids)Drinks ordered:2 vanilla milkshakes1 gin and lemonade1 pint fostersTotal £18.00Meals ordered:1 wrap1 burgerSide of chips2 kids mealsTotal £33.00The meals were of an average pub standard, arrived in good time and were presented well. The kids said the milkshakes were not very nice, and I would agree, as they did taste slightly odd. The cutlery was clean, as were the tables and the seating area. Customer toilets were very clean. All staff were polite and presentable, and all wore face coverings.I was slightly dissapointed that even as a customer spending over £50, there was still a charge of £5 per child for access to the indoor soft play area!Overall, a good place to visit.£60ish for food, drinks and play area I suppose is not too bad.I would recommend giving this pub a visit,But I would also recommend the establishment may create some sort of offer of free kids entry to the soft play area if ordering a meal?

The food and general experience was nice but not worth a second trip. The chicken in the Yorkshire pud wrap was chewy from being microwaved but the staff are friendly and the portions are large. The fajitas were lovely.
