Decided to try the Looking Glass for breakfast on Good Friday, as it had changed hands from Wetherspoons.Met up with a friend at 9.30, found a table downstairs. We ordered the big breakfast and a cappuccino, the drink was 1.50 extra, bottomless, which after filling the first cup I can understand why, as it only gave half a cupWhile waiting for our food, noticed the place was really still as dirty as it used to be, there were snail trails all over the floor.Four young men came in, and they were so loud and so drunk, we had to go upstairs, otherwise we couldnt hear each other talkShame that the new owners couldnt refurbish a few things.Such a nice building that looks like a squat. The food was okay.

Cant beat this place for great food, cheap drinks & friendly staff. You know what your getting every time. Hope the prices stay the same with the new owners as that's what attracts us here. We don't want the fancy bars.

Wasn't expecting too much as it's up for sale and we popped in for a quick drink on out walk around but the beer was absolutely great! Ended up staying for the rest of the night. Helpful polite staff and no idiots

Great food Great service and a grab your own coffee like you enjoy it.

Hot good food, only place we could find that was still serving food on a bank holiday Sunday night after 8pm

Nice weathers, reasonably well kept. Staff are ok, food is typical spoons. Beer is cold and a decent price.

Typical Weatherspoons with good value drinks and food (as long as you're expectations aren't to high). I went for a Pizza, based on previous ones at other Weathies which have always been excellent. This one was undercooked with a stodgy base. Friend ordered a Chicken and Beefburger, which arrived cold, and was replaced, not much warmer than the first. Used the app to order which is good, but does leave you wondering how quickly your order will come. Overall I like Weathies, as long as it meets your expectations. I understand that this one is closing soon (2 in town, so no great loss).

Great prices which can't be beaten on both food and drink excellent quick service. Down side ....gents toilet bad aroma of urine

I don't expect much from Wetherspoons, cheap and cheerful with a decent universal menu which is great for allergy sufferers like ny daughter, but this place is a lot more run down than most. Food is okay, but I've often received the wrong order. Tables come with extra stickiness, so take a wipe!

Bit loud, bit brash , but least it felt like a proper pub. Staff decent and working hard. Food was good and cheap. Enjoyed the visit.
