The venue is gorgeous , and staff are very good and always on the ball. The food was very disappointing they gave us menus and then when ordered told us they didn't have this and that on menu. Food wasn't the best just average with over priced what actually is.

Wow!! Absolutely amazing service and food from all the team, thank you. Myself and my family were at the Rams head yesterday, a busy Sunday and nothing was too much trouble. It was the best pub roast I've had in a very long time. Very impressed, it made our day after just being to a Christening x

I've not been in this pub for years. Lovely food and a good cup of coffee. A bit too early for me to have a drink, so couldn't comment on the beer. This is why it only got 4 stars.

The two of us arrived about 12:50 on a Thursday, took our seats and shortly afterwards placed our order for food and drinks. The pub was quiet and did not appear overly busy. The drinks arrived promptly and we awaited our food. As the minutes ticked by no member of staff came back to our table to see if we wanted further drinks. After waiting nearly an hour and seeing other tables served food who had arrived and ordered after us, I approached one of the male staff to enquire where our food was. I was informed by him that it was being "just being plated up". Ten minutes later and still no food appeared. Only then were we told by the same male staff member there had been an issue with our order and it had not been made. I informed him that in that case I had been lied to when told by him that our food was being plated up.I asked how much our drinks came to (a tonic water and an orange juice - nothing expensive) and said we were leaving. This was at 14.00 - well over an hour after ordering.I was told there was no charge for the drinks. We then left. The pub is cold (I noticed other patrons inside wearing coats and jackets throughout), has inattentive staff and is not somewhere I ever wish to return to. Being lied to by the staff is inexcusable. If you forget an order then front up and admit it - don't lie and then try to worm your way out of it.We won't be going back.

We regularly visit this pub and the staff are always welcoming and helpful. We just had their afternoon tea and nothing was too much trouble. We're proud to call this our local.

After a lovely walk with friends and 4 dogs we decided to have lunch - upon entry there was a warm welcome and were shown to a table - the service was second to none the food was perfect - the two staff on at lunch handled the floor perfectly we will certainly be back thank you

Disappointed came with family for a celebration. Menu poor, not many choices available no steaks or fish. Service was extremely slow due to lack of staff. I had prebooked and was annoyed when 2 other large tables were served first even though they arrived well after we had been seated for 15 minutes. Food when arrived was luke warm if it had been hot it would be good. Over charged on drinks which was rectified when I pointed it out. Some drinks not available as they had run out.I understand that some staff were absent due to covid but they should restrict unbooked patrons so they could concentrate on prebooked patrons. Hopefully they can raise their standards for future business. It will be quite a while before we try again. ā¹š

Beautiful pub in a beautiful village. Service was excellent and outside private dining stalls with heaters were ideal in a crisp winter evening. We'll worth a visit if your in the area

Well where do i start. Not been here for over 5 years and i think this is my last time visiting this beautiful pub..i usually go to the Parr Arms(which is next door) Food is over priced and over cooked.. Staff are miserable and unhelpful. Considering how good the food at the Parr Arms is and how warm and welcoming the staff are iām surprised anyone goes to this pathetic excuse of a pub! -5 stars from me!
