Lovely country feel to this place. Fantastic menu a must visit. We both had pork belly with black pudding mash,wine and apple jus and a strip of crackling and greens. Honestly the food was superb!!!

Stopped off here on our way to Chester and that was a good choice. Lovely beer garden and good food, would return!

Food was lovely. Service was friendly and helpful. Seating not the best. Overall experience was good. Didn't complain about seating as they were busy and I assumed the empty tables were reserved for later as it was the day before Mothers day. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. Will be back.

An enjoyable lunch with great service and good food. The dining area is attractive, clean and well presented. There is a good choice on the menu and the food was tasty and reasonable value for money. Overall would recommend and will return again.

Met my partners old friends at this venue for lunch. New to me, but a well thought out and welcoming layout and decor. The staff were suitably attentive and friendly. Range of food good, we just had a light meal... but the variety of offerings was good. Food a bit slow in coming, but well presented and tasty as advertised. Would certainly use the pace again - as it was also easy to et at off the motorway network, yet quiet and comfortable... v good..

SAID "ideal for smaller appetites at lunch time"Hot Beef Brisket Sandwich TINY ABSOLUTELY TINY only fit for a 3 year old child never seen anything as small. When the staff member came over after I had finished and asked how was it I Told her the above description, She said that is what we kave been told to put out.....strangely I never got a how did we do card to complete like every other Time!!! First time visiting this lovely pub a couple of weeks ago and it was truly amazing. The pub was very comfortable for a relaxing drink/coffee and the food was so good we visited again the next day before we left the area.If you love the feel of comfortable cottage style, dog friendly (in and outside) pubs, you will love this place. The staff where very friendly and welcoming with us, would 100% recommend for anyone to visit if they are in the area.
