Very nice interior with attentive staff. Food was just you're average pub food. Would return.

Great food and decent vegan options. There was a bit of a mistake with one of our vegan meals but the manager came out and seemed so genuine in his disappointment with the error. They said that they had spoken to the chef and would learn from it, which was enough for me (it was such a heartfelt apology), but they wouldn't let me pay for the rest of the meal or even just the drinks which there was nothing wrong with.I really appreciated their reaction to their mistake, and the goodwill gesture. I will definitely be back because the staff are really genuine and the food was excellent!

Arrived at 6.30pm on a very busy Tuesday evening. Just the two of us dining. A really great menu selection. As good as, if not better than, some restaurants. Excellent value and good quality food - especially the Supper Club choices! The service was a little slow (to order) but food arrived without any great wait. We ordered the same starter, however two different ones arrived. This was quickly rectified. Overall a fabulous and enjoyable evening! Will definitely be returning!

Friendly service. We turned up on a midweek lunchtime and were able to have a table for two. Good menu. Vegetarian and omnivore choices. Delicious food. Prompt service.

Friendly staff and food was tasty and delivered in a good time. Only disappointment I had was that the dessert I wanted was out of stock and had to opt for something else but other than that had no faults whatsoever. Would highly recommend.

Food was excellent but the service is always really slow. The one young lady who served us this time was absolutely brilliant (not in a uniform) but she seemed to be the only member of staff actually working on the the floor. There was one gentleman bringing out food and then three others that just seemed to stand by the front door. We felt awful constantly having to grab the young lady's attention to get drinks etc as everyone else needed to grab her too.

Not been here for some time, we visited with friends and had a meal and a few drinks. It was waiter service at the table and the staff were very efficient and always on hand to take our orders when we needed more drinks. The food was very good and we will definitely be visiting again

Been a few times to this chain pub with added Premier Inn. On this occasion a Burns Night Meal, £22 for 4 courses, exc. drink. Excellent value. Staff young, courteous, friendly and efficient. Plenty of tables across 3 or 4 rooms. Recommended.

Used to be a nice place to go for a swift drink or two after work, but in the last few months it has become appalling for customer service. The bar is never manned by more than one person so you wait forever, the emphasis is always on serving food, all tables are reserved for dining, except in the centre of the pub, even if empty you cannot sit at them, and the manager is one of the rudest and most unhelpful you will ever have the misfortune of meeting, I only pity the hard working staff that work there who are always running around busy! It simply benefits from being the only pub around that area, in an affluent location, but I would rather go towards Warrington or into Newton now, far better experience.UPDATE: In response to Marie's reply, I was referring to the last few months, not one specific day, and I am unsure how not using available tables when unoccupied is helping with the pandemic, if you are forcing people to bustle in the centre of the pub, sounds like quite the opposite, but I concede that you're the Manager and clearly know best. I also think by making people queue at the small bar together while huddling to let people past, rather than sufficiently staff the bar, doesn't really help, but again, you know best!

Lovely place! Our first ever visit and most definitely didn't disappoint. Staff were absolutely amazing (sorry I didn't get their names) and food was yummy. Salt n pepper squid bit too salty for me but then I don't put salt almost on anything so... 😅🤷♀️Starters - Mushrooms in peppercorn sauce & Salt n Pepper squidMains - Chef's mixed grill & Halloumi and chips (forgot to take a pic of this, I was too hungry 😪)Desserts - Mini Brownie and cappuccino & Mini Eaton Mess with green tea 🍵 (these "mini" desserts are not so mini if you stuff yourself with starter and main 😀)Even though we picked a proper grim day to eat outside, the experience was great and we will definitely be back very soon!Thank you
