What a nice place. Staff were very polite & attentive. We had Fish & Chips it's the best we've had in a very long time. The pudding was also very good. Will definitely be going back.

Highly recommended little pub. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was delicious. We had the triple meat Sunday roast and it was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning.

I was disappointed to know there was no Guinness available considering it's St Patrick's Day.The meals myself and my friends had were poor quality. Which is incredible considering it was just sandwiches and chips. The chips had obviously been days old because we had a mix of different chip types, some had been burned to a crisp and yet they still came out cold to the table.Even after having my meal remade I wasn't happy with what I received at all but since I had already sent it back prior I didn't want to cause a futher uncomfortable atmosphere for myself. After leaving here I went to the Ring O'Bells so I could get my much wanted St Paddy day Guinness.

We recently visited with our dog and we were all greated with a smile and a friendly manner. The staff were very accommodating towards us and our dog.It was just what we needed after a walk around Walton Gardens and down to canal. We will 100% be returning. Thanks to all the staff who looked after us.

Sadly disappointed with this pub which used to be so good. Lack of availability of food and drink menu items. Staff seemed eager to rush us along and close up for the evening despite it being pre 10pm. No atmosphere due to lack of other customers. Fallen branches in car park spaces all giving the impression of neglect.

We decided to pop in on the spur of the moment, it was all table service, the food was excellent. I had Brisket on sour dough bread with a side of fries and a small portion of tasty gravy, my wife had home made pizza, we both enjoyed it and agreed that we would recommend the food and also go back with friends.

Had a truly lovely experience today. New family with a small 8 week old in tow. But made to feel very welcome with a lovely cosy atmosphere. The food was outstanding. Fresh, delicious and generously portioned. We will be coming back to sample more of it.The staff were all incredibly friendly and lovely to be around. A huge thank you to Dale, Rhiannon & Rachael. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Another excellent lunch and we returned because our previous experience there was excellent. The food is terrific value for money and the staff are courteous, efficient and interactive when invited for conversation. Nicky and Cody were considerate and attentive and even remembered how I took my coffee...from our last visit a couple of months ago! They are a pleasure to deal with and we look forward to seeing them again very soon.

A lovely building with a cozy feeling thanks to an open log fire. Modern feeling and clean furnishings.Service is very good at the table with polite staff; but not from the kitchen to table. I found that food arrived lukewarm to cold for both the starter and main. However, food is being prepared correctly. The steak I had was tender, well cooked (medium / well done), and delicious. I wasn’t the only one at the table to say the food was cold though. It just seems that the food sits in the kitchen for a while after being prepared.Would have been three stars if it wasn't for the pudding, which was a deliciously dense chocolate brownie, served with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Plus, it arrived nice and warm. Redeemed the overall meal. Who ever makes the puddings, seems to put a lot of love into them. The coffees are wonderful too and finished the meal off nicely =)
