Thorn Inn in Warrington

The celebration of my husband's life was held here , the initial enquiry was dealt with by a very helpful lady , the food was very good , excellent service, highly recommend for any occasion. Many thanks to all staff .

Had a lovely day at the thorn inn for an Easter egg hunt, fab atmosphere, lovely food and attentive staff. We will be returning soon.

Ordered drinks via the Greene king app, had to go in after a 30min wait to be told they don't check the app orders....Only 2 servers, one young inexperienced lad doing his best and a very grumpy, unwelcoming manager lady, made us feel sorry to have ordered anything.Food could have been so much better. I had the roast which had been sat there for God knows how long, dry hard roasties, there was no pudding about the Yorkshire it was more like a stone 😅 but the lamb and the gravy did taste nice it was such a shame the rest of the meal let it down, clearly just been cooked all day and left to sit then reheated poorly!Fish and chips my partner had was better but wasn't hot.... Peas had a good skin formed on them 😅Overall need more staff, happier staff, check the app if you are going to use it in your pub, most importantly cook your food as and when not at the start of your shift and leave it to go hard.

Had a lovely lunch yesterday, all very reasonably priced too. Beautiful restaurant and setting. Very friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Great atmosphere, pet friendly and substantial beer garden. Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu a d food is always lovely. We regularly go for dinner and always enjoy ourselves.

Friendly place, including allowing me to take my spaniel in with me. Lovely real fire which was excellent on a cold November day. Just been in again with friends and once again very friendly. Food was excellent. My friend described his pie as the best he has ever had in a pub?

I ordered the lamb shank for Sunday lunch, my son ordered the gammon with eggs. Both meals were superb and superbly presented by Michelle. Congratulations to Michelle and her team.

Fantastic local pub with great service. Food is pretty standard as you would expect from Greene King. It was very busy today however Michelle and Judy ensured our party was well looked after and food arrived swiftly.

We had a mulled cider and a hot chocolate along with the Steak nd Ale pie and the Chicken and Mushroom Pie and everything was delicious. The service was impeccable, spot on and very attentive. *Meant to take pictures of the food but it smelled so good we tucked in immediately*

The food here was delicious!! Great portions, well cooked tasty food!! Would definitely recommend!! Staff were very friendly!!
