Bull and Dog in West Lancashire

Went for lunch today, six adults and a baby. The food was really good and the staff were attentive; nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely go back.

Visited the Bull and Dog for the first time for a nice lunch with a friend. The pub has a nice convivial atmosphere. The decor is cosy. Upon seating down the staff was really nice and approachable. There is a good selection of dishes on the menu. The food we order was really good. I had a rump steak 🥩🍺 cooked as requested perfectly. The portion sizes and prices are very reasonable. I'd recommend this eatery as a place to visit. I'd definitely go back 🤷🏾‍♂️👍

Excellent greeting from friendly manager. Disappointed no Guinness sold out but blacksheep alternative superb. Food delivered by marvellous waitress told she is part of the furniture at place. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely would and have recommend 👌

Fantastic place to eat and have a pint came for a Sunday roast the staff are so friendly nothing is too much for them even demanding kids. The lamb was cooked to perfection, potatoes soft and fluffy inside it all just melts in your mouth. The portions really generous too. There is a well equipped outdoor seating area with a playground for kids and mini football pitch. All round great place for the family would highly recommend this place if you are in the area or passing through. Very cosy with modern decor but not over the top gives this place a homely feel.

Been today early tea. Lovely warm welcome. Very friendly staff. Complements to the chef food was excellent my husband had a mixed grill (huge) he ate the lot. Steak and Ale pie for me delicious. Recommend when you drive past call in you won't be disappointed. We will be back very soon.

We came here for some dinner on a Friday afternoon, it wasn't busy and it was lovely inside as we've never been before. Staff where very welcoming and lovely.Gave us their opinions on the food and which is nice, I love that they have the option for people who don't want a big meal. Like fries with bbq pulled pork on top which was nice!!My boyfriend got the mixed grill and loved it.We also treated ourselves to deserts, chocolate brownie cake with ice-cream which was very very nice!!Would love to bring our two children next time, as they have a play area outside for summer times and benches

Just had a lovely Sunday roast , very tasty and well presented.Staff and atmosphere nice.Deffo worth a try if your in the area.

Went for a quick bite to eat for tea. Thought it was going to be a quick pub tea however was pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent and all the staff were lovely. Never been here but will definitely be back. Highly recommend

Where else but here for your first post lockdown meal!This was the first time we'd visited this pub. We found the staff very welcoming and showed us to our table. The layout is fully covid compliant, and stubbly clean.Mains included a roast, burgers and a selection of children's meals. The burgers are perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. Whilst the turkey roast was absolutely superb, a delicious dish.The outside play area is just out of this world the kids loved it. By far the best one we've ever seen.Make sure you get yourself booked in for a wonderful experience. As ever great value for money, the highest standards for food and service. A real gem in the crown for Burscough.
