Mikes Fish in West Lancashire

A little busy but it was Friday worth the wait. Prices have gone up a bit like everywhere I suppose. £5.50 for a fish.

Very popular for a reason. Located on the High St in Old Skelmersdale Its an easy place to find and there's plenty of parking. Expect to queue at busier times but the wait is worth it for fresh, hot, tasty food. Try the curry sauce, a classic katsu flavour with just the right amount of heat. Can't fault Mike's for the food, the staff or the premises. A well deserved 5* .

Great fish and chips, especially if you get them fresh! Our teenager is happy with the chicken nuggets and chips too. Fried rice is yummy, especially with sweet and sour dishes (my favourite is the king prawns). Some Asian dishes however are too vinegary, instead of being flavoursome they are sharp, like saturated in vinegar. Chow meins are tasty but too dry. So basically hit and miss, depends what you order. Generally good for English food, but not our favourite place for Asian food.

Hav'nt been here for a few months because the chips were always warmed up and more bits than chips. Called tonight......good God......the chips were like lunchtime ones warmed......and loads of hard bits. Giving this a wide berth from now on......MANKY 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Excellent service and quality traditional fish and chips. Call them and it's ready as soon as you get there. No waiting. 👍

I travelled out from wigan to go here and it was still hot when I got home and the food is delicious *****

Best chippy around. Great food, well priced and always nice. The curry and Singapore chow mein are amazing. Also the staff are lovely, always polite, very friendly and chatty. M Orders are never wrong and never have to wait long for food either. I’ve moved a few chippies away but always happy to do the 35 min round trip to get a Mikes!
