Absolute dream place to eat quality food with brilliantly comfortable accommodation. The staff are outstanding working extremely hard to make sure customers have the best that they can offer. The landlady together with her son and hand picked staff are eager to please. I would encourage anyone needing accommodation in Tarleton Rufford or areas nearby chose this venue they will not be disappointed.

Nice place for ladies who lunch. Staff were friendly and very smart. The place had a modern bright and airy interior and a relaxing ambiance. With quite a pricey menu I probably wouldn't recommend it to families with small children or anyone on a budget and it doesn't seem to attract those clientele. If you are looking for a bit more than pub food and want to be comfortable and warm it is worth calling here. I would recommend smart casual and give yourself plenty of time to dine. The overall feel was peaceful and calm but still busy when I dined one Friday lunchtime. Best to book in advance.

I chose to visit Rufford Arms today as my birthday meal and I was not disappointed. Slow roasted lamb shank was absolutely delicious, followed by apple and blackberry crumble and custard. A fantastic meal and, as always, excellent service from all the staff.

Very nice food and very busy. I would have liked them to turn off the music when the place was so busy. One could not hear it properly anyway but it added to the noise and made conversation that bit hard, so why have it on? It is also some distance out of Rufford itself so I had a job locating it

Fantastic food with great menu. Service cannot be faulted. Very clean and tables spread out so feel safe. Love it.

We had Sunday Lunch at the Rufford Arms. Lovely atmosphere, nice and bright inside. Good car park. The food was nice, and we can't make any complaints other than it didn't wow us. The veggie Sunday roast lacked seasoning and had a mushy texture, and I couldn't actually finish it. Other than that, the food was pretty good.

What a fabulous place. Why we have never been before is a wonder. It was superb. The decor , staff and food was glorious. I did try and book recently but as expected it is popular.

We had a delicious meal, which was beautifully prepared and presented. The staff were also very friendly snd helpful. The only improvement would be a larger portion of ice cream and fruit for dessert, as it seemed overly expensive for what it was. The other courses were excellent value, as the food was very high quality. Would definitely recommend.

Mixed review- Beautiful food (nicest fish and chips I've ever had) and surroundings, but extremely small portions and VERY slow service. My first pint had a strange antiseptic type taste too. Staff not over friendly either so unfortunately we won't be returning.. shame really 'cos it's certainly got potential!
