Spice House in West Lancashire

Chicken wings are not chicken wings they are the smallest drumsticks ever and extremely dry. Chicken tikka on the bone was ok. Kebab in a naan was awful the chicken so dry and chewy. Clearly been cooked ages ago and not fresh. Avoid.

Ordered my food at 5pm for delivery at 6.45pm. Now 7.35 and no food. Called up and was told the food is ready and they are waiting for.the delivery driver, should be 15 minutes. That was at 7.10. So even when the food arrives it will have gone cold as it was made over half an hour ago. Shame as the food here has been good but when you order for a specific time (I've got young children that need their tea and then bed) and it is almost an hour late and hasn't yet arrived I can't rate it other than 1 star. **EDIT. Food arrived at 7.50. Ordered at 5pm for 645pm. Increasing by 1 star as food was good and hot but delay still unacceptable.

Food took an hour and a half to arrive, when it did arrive it was really bland and tasteless. Salad items missing, not hot… just disappointing all round. There are much better curry houses locally.

Tasty food at sensible prices. I ordered through Just Eat, and paid by PayPal. If you don't use Just Eat you have to pay cash.

Had a lovely Chicken Tikka Naga from here last night, been here a couple of times before, food is always tasty

The food from here is great,always hot when it arrives and the prices are very good.

My brother & sister in law live in Scarisbrick and introduced us to The Spice House. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone and I rate it over any places in my local area, to the point we travel from Bolton if we want an Indian! The food is fantastic. We have sampled quite a few different curries from the menu all of which have been full of flavour. My personal favorite is the chicken tikka kebab. 100% recommend!

Used to eat from here 25 years ago and popped in here after work late on... Have to say its as good as its ever been and the staff were great! 10/10 Definitely be back!! :-)

We ordered from here for the first time last night and we was not disappointed....the mixed grill tandoori we highly recommend.... the food was still hot when arrived we are so happy with our service from here we are ordering again tonight ...... brilliant food keep up the good work spice house

Unfortunately I have to post my review now due to yet another vastly delayed order. I am all for giving chances and hate to give a negative review, if ever. However, I have waited 2 and a half hours for my order to arrive 3 times prior to now, and I am currently over 3 hours in, after placing an order tonight when the restaurant had predicted an hour. The food is good if you are happy to at least double the projected time of arrival but this will be my last.
