The food is nice but very overpriced and too posh for my liking. What happened to a simple hearty menu. Cakes are delicious though!

Location is nice on the marina but the food is massively overpriced for what it is. Well presented but nothing special. Cakes looked nice but again overpriced. Check the menu on the website before you go!! OK as a one off/special treat but have had better for a more reasonable price elsewhere.

Love this cafe. Fabulous home made food, especially the cakes! Our granddaughter's favourite place for ice cream too. The cafe and gardens are lovely, overlooking Fettlers Wharf. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. Perfect 😍

Nicely decorated place and staff are friendly. Feel slightly disappointed with the value for money, sandwiches are on the thin kind of bread you get with a supermarket type and not very much filling either. I appreciate that you need to operate on a profit but other independent cafes seem to give a little more for less.

An impulse swerve off the road found us in this delightfully situated, canal-side, smart and cheerful cafe. The food menu was imaginative and catered for all tastes, and the homemade cakes on offer were excellent. I will, however, never forgive the lady in front of me in the queue that ordered the last Coffee Renoir before I got my greedy hands on it! There'd have been no room for it anyway - the Ploughman's was simply the best I've ever had...

Overpriced. Tastebud cafe did not live up to its name for me. You can tell the quality of ingredients is high but certainly doesn’t warrant a price tag north of £10 for a breakfast (and that’s without a coffee). I asked for crispy bacon and when the breakfast finally arrived it was far from it. I strongly recommend including a hot drink with your breakfast.

Absolutely fantastic afternoon garden tray. Well worth the money. Staff attentive but not smothering. Treated my mum and she loved it. XWent back again and had a ploughman's lunch. The Afternoon garden tray we had last time was so much better.

Recently refurbished. Good selection of cakes. Cyclist friendly. Cyclist offer of Tea/Coffee plus teacake £3.45 good value but had to double take a surcharge of £1 for a 1oz jar of jam (which wasn't even full!) 🤔

Outstanding Marina/Water side cafe. Loads of outdoor space, great food which matches the menu, and isn't expensive. Massive value for money deserts. Dog friendly (outdoors). Outdoor seating is a Mixture of Bench's and proper chairs and tables. Indoors is on the small side, but lots of tables fairly close knit. Lots of charm. Large ice cream bar and caravan to side. Place does get flooded with middle aged men in lycra. Also known also cyclists. Good car park, but watch out for the damn speed bumps which are short and high. Low cars could easily catch underside parts on them.

Delicious cake. They also have a very tasty coffee and walnut gluten free cake (assuming the choice will change depending on when you visit) but good to know that they always have a gluten free option!
