The Blue Elephant in West Lancashire

During COVID lockdown had takeaway s from here. This was our first time eating inside. Staff were very friendly. Didn't have too long to wait for starter or main course. Starter was hoppers (chicken in curry wrapped in a filo pastry) with a selection of dips. Wow, loved it. My all time favourite was chicken tikka masala with mushroom rice. Again, not disappointed. Had plenty of time to finish the meal and didn't feel rushed. Will be going back again.

Absolutely up there in our top 3 best ever Indian restaurant's, the food was so fresh and cooked to perfection great staff very professional book a table as it gets busy quickly overall great value for money, love this place enough to travel

Food was nice , nice atmosphere - staff were miserable and seemed like no one wanted to be working including what appeared to be the manager. I was asked about our experience when paying the bill and the chap dint seem remotely surprised or apologetic. date night was ruined by poor service we wont be returning.

Went for a belated birthday meal with my parents and boyfriend. Ordered a few different curries, rice's, naan breads and starters. All very good. Lovely establishment and very kind staff.

Ordered a takeway, and was told it would be thirty minutes. Arrived on time, only to wait another twenty minutes, with no sign of the order, and the bar area was full of angry customers. When I asks for a ETA, was told it would be a further 25 minutes. They habitually deliberately under estimate the time it takes to prepare orders out of fear of losing business at busy times. I have given these clowns so much business in the past, but I will pay no more.

Been here numerous times, always good food, freshly cooked and served quickly the staff are always friendly, ample on site parking. The beers always cold and refreshing. Definitely recommend a visit if you like Indian food and beer.

We won the Valentines meal and it was absolutely delicious. All the meal was fabulous 5 star service and food, highly recommended. The house rose wine is also very good.

Was very disappointed 😞 me and my partner went a couple of weeks ago and the food was good and service was nice. So I took a lot of family in this evening we spent a lot of money the food was average and the service was not good, I had a waiter snapping his fingers at me to pass him my plate was appalled, the same waiter was rude on a number of occasions through the evening unfortunately we will not be returning.

Went here for a work meal. Food and service was excellent will definitely be coming back. Mu only comment would be to have a better beer choice maybe a Cobra or Singha.

Superb food across the board. We had a large party of 8 people and it did not phase the hosts in the least. Food came out all together and we were attended to well without being harassed. A wonderful experience and I am looking forward to more explorations of their wonderful menu. Commended.
