The Delph Tavern in West Lancashire

Cosy pub. Good small play area outside. Good drinks. Super food. Lovely local pub.

Great pub that I've known all my drinking life. I worked there in the late 70s early 80s around University Terms. One of the few pubs left in Orrell. Good selection of beers friendly staff. Will visit again next time I'm visiting Lancashire family.

Food was reasonable and reasonably priced. Dessert (photoed) was good.

The prices are astronomical considering the food. Nice drink and nice food but £13 for one meal? I could just go to the Mount and get a meal for way cheaper. Its a shame too as they have such lovely food. There are also massive potholes in the ground of the carpark that need to be fixed. The outside of the pub doesnt really look special and nor does the inside and the food was okay. This pub needs a defining feature to set it apart from the other pubs, and a reason for me to go to the Delph and not the Mount.

The food was delicious. One of the best salads I’ve ever had here in UK. They are very friendly and kind. Lovely place. ❤️

Good food and service. Make sure you're hungry though because the portions are very large indeed! Need to have a better choice of desserts, assuming that you have any room left after the main meal :)
