Most Sundays when there is football on the television we go to ur pub as u don’t show the football, last Sunday 1st May, we arrived at 2 ordered a large bottle of Prosecco and bottle of desperado, and a pint of MorettiTwo hours later and five pints a girl came over and said excuse me and placed a small plaquard saying ur table is reserved in 45 minutes? She did the same on the next table, as I had just purchased another pint and we still had half a bottle of wine, I went the bar and said I was not happy! Ten minutes later they came over and apologised and said we can stay!We felt uncomfortable as did the people on the next table and we decided to leave, when someone spends over 50 pound and was going to order a take away! Do u really think that’s good business.I am baffled as is everyone we have told as this is a pub and u have a separate dining area anyway and if that busy u surely cannot ask people in the pub/bar area to get off the table? ? ?Apart from that the bar staff have always been very pleasant.

Went this evening for food. The food was amazing, so tasty and fresh. Dog and Gun burger was so juicy, all the food was so nice & fresh. The staff were so amazing and friendly too. We were served by a young woman and man who were both so friendly and kind. They go above and beyond. Also allow dogs so we will definitely be back! Thank you!

Up for the races and staying local, so booked a table for Friday night based on reviews. Great local pub, with a good atmosphere. Good ales, good food and friendly staff made for a very enjoyable evening. If you're in the area, worth a visit. We'll be back soon hopefully.

Great little pub with lovely staff serving good quality foods. The selection was varied and varied and every course was enjoyed by all. Totally delicious and excellent value for moneyThe ONLY downside for me personally is , as advertised, it is a dog friendly restaurant/ pub as well all know once 2 dogs are present they start barking which terrified my 10 yr old daughter and led us to leave . Such a shame . I enjoyed the food and service but won't be returning as I'd rather eat without dogs barking at the table !

Glooming pub but can see it is well served by locals for sunday lunch. We were passing through and only had drinks and bar snacks, which were pretty poor , tiny packs of nuts or a bag of crisps. Dog friendly and nice staff but not an atmosphere for a special occasion.

Called in for lunch, had fish and chips. Fish was really tasty. Chips were good to. Staff were very helpful and efficient. It's a hot day and to start all i asked for was water. Which was no problem, from there i continued to order my lunch. I recommend Dog & Gun Inn.

We stopped here for a couple of pints when out on the bikes. There is outdoor seating and they have fresh water for dogs a good pit stop when out cycling or walking
