We had a table of 6 ! food was absolutely 1st class . all home made and full of flavour . Will definitely be back . Our 1st time and highly recommend .

First time at this pub we found by chance. Well it's top of my list now. Lovely country family pub. Dog friendly too. The atmosphere is lovely. Staff so friendly. The food is to die for. Best food from a pub ever and reasonably priced. I am looking forward to going again. We went in the evening we will now go in the daytime too to take in the lovely surrounding. Highly recommend. If you visit I guarantee you will return time and again as we certainly will. 5 stars on everything.

Fantastic food friendly staff great service and well priced

after a few miles winter walk along the canal nipped in warmed our bones by the fire and warmed our tummies with some great food. thankyou

Oh my gosh the food and atmosphere here were amazing. The warm fire, excellent staff, and I hear from the rest of our group the local beer was great too.All the dog owners walking along the canal all called in for a drink.The staff honestly couldn't do more to make our visit a great one .... And oh gosh the food. WOW!!!Lancashire tapas was amazing, cannot fault the black pudding.We had a child with us and she Had the children's burger, sadly it was a bit too seasoned for her, but really tasty to us.Over all really really happy and will definitely be back.

Visited On The 5Th Of December 2021Already Heard A Lot That The Ship At Lathom Is Good So I Decided To GoWhen Arriving The Building Itself Was Fantastic Very Traditional. I Ordered Haddock And Chips Only Thing That Was A Problem Was It Took A WhileIt’s Rather They Had A Bad Day Or Maybe A Bit Stressed So I Wont Nitpick Or Drop Stars Because Of ItThen It Arrived So The ChipsThe Chips Were Meh Alright Not The Best Just Needs Some SeasoningThe Peas Were Just Like Mushy PeasAnd The Fish Was Decent Not Much To SayOverall It Was Good But Not The Best Still Enjoyed My Stay Though

I'd give more stars if I could! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Although we sat outside we had a very good experience from the staff and the food was exceptional. We had the steak pie and the Lancashire burger. Very recommend to visit.

Wow, just eating the BEST pie and chips ever !!! It's amazing, a real pie with all the sides, bottom and lid. Real gravy (jus) this is place is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The staff are very, very friendly indeed, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. We'll be back ASAP 😎👍🏻

Amazing food! First time visit and I'd definitely go back! Fish of the day for main! Only downside was the vegan cheesecake that was a bit dense so couldn't finish it!
