The Stanley Arms in West Lancashire

Lovely food and great choice of real ales and wines. Very busy when we visited, but lots of staff on duty to tend our needs. Our starter was very slow coming out of the kitchen, when it did arrive we were pleased to find it piping hot. The main courses arrived swiftly, all in all a great meal.Busy pub, shame it allowed drinkers to stand at the bar which meant some diners were not given privacy to eat their food and were unfortunately forced to witness extremely loud punters who struggled to handle their ale!

Very busy Gastro pub. Fresh quality food. Plenty of parking.Pleasant,efficient staff. Medium prices.

Great food, attentive staff, lovely location, nice selection of beers and wines. Price of food has increased but still good value

Good food good atmosphere oh and they sell beer 🍻 mm beer , left a happy bunny , btw that's a beer I had somewhere else but looks the part

Food and service excellent. No covid restrictions in place though. We and one other couple using masks. Table service for everything Inc drinks but staff coming to tables unmasked.Tables cleaned as soon as people left but noticed none of the salt+pepper pots etc where wiped. These are considered touch points and should be wiped at least.

Food was spot on. Family meal last minute. Couldn't have asked for more. All plates cleared. Staff very friendly. Love going to this place.

Gets very busy so book if you want to eat. Good selection of draught and craft beers. Good summer venue to take advantage of the outdoor facilities. Put off by the menu only offering a main meal and dessert as a fixed price.

Excellent home cooked food. Staff very friendly. And table service, even for drinks...so it felt safe. Its really popular so would make a reservation next time.

Not a good experience at this place.Meals were mediocre at best. The roast dinners dominated by very large chewy roast potatoes and disappointing vegetables. The service was poor, you can no longer order drinks at the bar or food at the kitchen, you have to wait for table service. We waited for initial order, after a reminder trip to the bar from one of our party. Main course delivered, plates cleared but no visit to see if we wanted drinks or dessert. Another reminder trip to prompt our orders (after about 20 minutes). Dessert arrived, but drinks forgotten.Another visit to the bar . .Finally the drinks arrived . . And within 5 minutes we were asked to vacate the table because they needed it for next guests! I hope their experience was better than ours. We won't be back.
