Where is The Windmill?

🏠 3 Mill Ln, Parbold, Wigan WN8 7NW

"The warmest of Lancashire welcomes. Set in the picturesque village of Parbold, between Ormskirk and Standish, the Windmill has been serving fine food and ales since 1794. With roaring log fires, a welcoming crowd and friendly staff, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We’re in the centre of the village on the banks of the Leeds to Liverpool canal and welcome all-comers – bargies, anglers, dog-walkers and many more. Pop in and find out what makes us special."

Lovely food, steak was amazing. Great service and had brilliant Live Music rock & roll band on too called The Weekend Warriors. The place was bouncing.

We have just moved into Parbold and have discovered what we believe to be a hidden gem. We've eaten at Wayfarers and Miller and Carter in the past but on moving day, we took a stroll and discovered The Windmill. The food is excellent, the specials board gets changed regularly, the staff are very friendly and helpful but most of all, did I mention the food?Having now lived here in the village foe nearly 3 years, my opinion still hasn't changes. The food is excellent, my only gripe being that they've taken the Eton Mess off the menu... sob, sniff! But seriously, I love this place, I just wish it was less popular so it'd be easier to get a table!

Very busy for a Wednesday lunch time. Service impeccable. Excellent food, beautifully presented. Good veggie/vegan choice, except desserts. Coffee is from a machine - very nice but no milk alternatives available.Overall excellent- will definitely visit again. Separate room for diners with dogs. I will book next time to make sure if a table.

Really nice place, friendly staff, we've had lunch there many times and never been disappointed. The fish and chips are excellent, 10 out of 10.

We parked out car here before our walk to Ashhurst beacon. Food at lunch time was really great, good choices. One had a real feast of lamb roast I had scampy , other guy had gammon / eggs. Beer price as is normal for the times we live in. Not rushed so we were relaxed after the walk.

Amazing food, friendly staff and the service was excellent, we had 6 different meals and every one was perfect, a little bit more expensive than your usual pub food but you get what you pay for, we will definitely be back for more
