Village Fish Bar in West Lancashire

Just eaten their fish and chips, or least some of the chips which were soggy. The fish was stale going on disgusting - if you have ever eaten FRESH fish, you would not go near this. How can anyone buy this appalling quality, never mind serve it up? The place was clean and the staff were efficient so my advice would be if you go in here, try the Chinese food - hopefully they do that better. This place reinforces Britain's dismal reputation for decent fish. Go to Stafford's, Burscough St in Ormskirk instead - I would have done so but they closed early today. Next time I'll do without rather than eat this muck.

Passing through on Business on the 23rd Feb with Family and we called in ....by far the Best Fish chips and Curry for miles ....absolutely spot on.. Fish was lovely and Crispy not to Greasey. Well done 👏

Fantastic value for money. Each meal can easily feed two people, as well as being very tasty. A traditional Chinese Chippy is a Burscough institution that has been in the same family for as long as I can remember.

Awful just awful,Ive been twice for food here, the first time I went on getting home and opening the bag I was given the wrong order and when I rang to explain I was stuck on the call with a woman who spoke hardly any english so was a real struggle to communicate¬hing was resolved and I was just left with food I didnt order or even like and it went in the bin.I thought Id give it another try today and hoped it was a one off, sadly it was not!My husband got a fish which absolutely stinks and tastes like bleach,We also got shredded chicken&shredded beef, both disgusting and has all gone in the bin... AGAIN.. what a total waste of money... will never return again. Rather have beans on toast!

We have had Chinese meals a lot from here, but whoever was cooking on Monday evening 4th Jan was OUTSTANDING ...Best meals I have had from there extremely tasty !!

Tried the fish and chips today having read the good reviews. I've got to be honest and say the fish is about the worst I have ever had. Batter too thick and under cooked, horrible floury taste. Chips nice though.
