Great fish n chips 😋😋😋

We went yesterday for lunch and found it to be lacking in a few things. Firstly, the reception was not the friendliest, it was as if we were intruding and she didn't really want us to be there, it was quite early so maybe she wasn't quite prepared but still, even a false smile would have helped... The place itself was absolutely freezing which made it uncomfortable. The chips were typical chippy chips, no better or worse than I've had before but was disappointed with the fish. I ordered jumbo haddock and whilst it came on a huge plate and filled half of it , it was a lot of batter and not the nice clean, crispy batter, it was very hard and crunchy with not much taste and the fish was very thin and not at all soft and flaky. I don't think we will be going back but there seemed to be a couple of regulars coming in as we were leaving so maybe we were unlucky...

Best chippy in Wigan nevermind Hindley! Fish always nice, chips never greasy....highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious food delivered very quickly.Everything was hot and very tasty, lovely thick fish with not too much batter. Enjoyed everything as usual. Thank you!

Ordered 2 full size breakfasts with toast, tea an frothy coffee for a family member. Portions were huge and breakfast was delicious. They were very satisfied.

Bought chips pudding peas n gravy cost £4.60 wow can't believe only half portion of chips, if I could put a picture up on here I would do, first time I have been here an it's the last, potatoes cost pennies !!

I have been a little disappointed recently and felt the standards had dropped but when we visited this week the fish and chips were excellent! Just like they used to be. Helpful, friendly and professional staff too. Keep it up!!

Food came 2 hours after ordering which was somewhat understood under the circumstances. The food then came with missing items or wrong items and what looked like undercooked food with awful portions for price. After going to the chippy ourselves we was refused a refund and had the missing items thrown in the bag whilst the server walked away. Shocking service, shocking quality, shocking portions.
