Atherton Fish Bar in Wigan

Excellent customer service always friendly staff and always fresh food

Stay away gravy/peas/curry £1 !!!! Since having a new owner about five months ago the prices have rocketed and this was before the recent price rises on food who charges £1 for gravy anywhere especially on a council estate it’s dearer here than next door at Morrisons local which is also a rip off store be warned martins chippy cheaper and miles better also derby st is better this certainly is the dearest chippy in atherton and district.

Fantastic chippy, can’t recommend highly enough.

Found this place by accident and turned out to be best fish and chips I've had in 20 years living in northwest. Lovely clean shop, friendly staff and clearly a very talented fryer.

Best fish and chips I have had in a long time, glad I stumbled across you,i will definitely return.

Good chippy was better with old owner but still OK in my opinion one of my favourite take aways would recommend feeds my family of 5 just over a tenner can't go wrong really

Asked for pudding chips and grey but got peas as well. Got a pudding, small amount of chips, even smaller peas but a bucket of gravy.Ended up soggy and unedable.Always been a good feed till now

Great food, very friendly staff indeed. Brilliant chippy

We were recommended this place by friends and as we were in the area we decided to pop in. The food is incredible and would definitely come back! The staff are really friendly and gave a great service!

Fantastic chippy, always seems to sell fresh chips even when I have gone late for lunch or very early. The selection of food on offer is perfect and the rag puddings are delicious and the fish is huge and tastes fresh.
