The Bag and Bean is hidden away behind the "Love It" gallery.With an option to sit inside or outside, but still under cover, makes for a pleasant dining experience regardless of the weather.Staff are attentive and pleasant without being overly familiar and service is quick and efficient.The menu is small but ample, with the usuals (sandwiches, Baked potato, salads, soup) but be sure to check out the specials.If you're an early bird, breakfast is available until 11am and as well as the standard of Bacon etc, you can also go American, with pancakes or waffles. For those of you who like a no nonsense breakfast, they also do porridge.There's a smaller menu for the little people.Tea is served by the pot and is loose leaf.A range of coffees are available too.Well behaved dogs are welcome.Wheelchair accessible, accept cash or card.Afternoon tea is available, but needs to be booked in advance.

Food was delicious and the staff are lovely and friendly. Definitely going back.

I had afternoon tea at Bag and Bean and it was lovely. We ate far too much but everything was so tasty. The staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Not very family friendly or considerate of children. Children’s meal came out extremely sloppy and ham/cheese was falling out of toastie, we couldn’t even cut it up for our child. Hostess tried to place our family in uncomfortable tables where our child would be in the way and then made a scene when we asked for a different location than what was offered. Head waitress/hostess has horrible attitude and was not friendly or helpful at all.

Lovely location and staff. The brownie was so tasty and the Cappuccino too ..that's why they were both half consumed before I remembered to take the picture. Thoroughly recommend

Beautiful cafe good choices of coffee ,cake and assorted snacks and sandwiches . Loved the delicious granary toast .Absolutely brilliant staff friendly ,welcoming ,and helpful.Dogs were allowed into the undercover outside area .Plenty of parking available.Highly recommend tithe Bag and Bean to everyone.

Very nice little cafe situated within the Live It Gallery.Have to ring a little bell to be seated and waited on.Typical range of hot and cold drinks on sale but I've not had the chance to sample the food, but I will on my next visit.Closed at 16:30 on a Friday, not sure about the rest of the week.

Lovely staff and great food. Not really any huge problems just some slight improvements I would personally suggest, such as a more diverse sandwich selection and some more non alcoholic drink options, but apart from that, its a great place to take the family or go with friends or even by yourself!Overall, visit this place if you want a great atmosphere, great food, and lovely staff members who are willing to help you with all your needs and problems.
