Extortionate price for a very poor afternoon tea.Cost over £145 for 7 people .sandwiches were prawn egg or ham .these were like 2 slices of bread cut into 6 pieces.Fancies that look exactly like the ones available in Iceland. Scones were not very fresh .we were very disappointed with the quality. The service is always excellent however rather than causing a fuss whilst there we rang as soon as we got home and told them of our experience. Was told that someone would call back no one did.rang again later that evening again told someone would be in touch .Still no response.Don't get me wrong this is the first negative experience we have had at the boars head .Hope that the afternoon tea service improves.

Absolutely gorgeous little pub with extremely helpful and pleasant staff. The food was amazing and extremely good value. We'll definitely be returning.

The Boars Head was the final stop off at the end of a 2 day, 43 mile sponsored walk. Janet, the landlady, not only mate us welcome, but laid on pizza, sandwiches and chips for 50 people. The pub itself is absolutely fantastic. There is a front area next to the carpark that has benches, but the star attraction is the beer garden at the back. As well as open air seating, there are several covered, heated pods that will seat 6 or 8 peopl. The whole atmosphere of the places is brilliant, and the quality of the food was amazing. I can't recommend the Boars Head highly enough, either for just a drink or for the wonderful food and level of service

Our first meals at The Boar's Head, a very cosy pub with friendly staff. My Mum has been here before with my Auntie and she had the Ploughman's lunch. For starters my Dad and I had the Black pudding stack (Which was not on the current menu, but the manager was good enough to organise for us), and the pate. Our main courses were Fish and chips, Lasagna and Piri Piri chicken burger. Between the three of us, with drinks it came to £70-odd. We would come back.

Excellent meal and very pleasant and polite serving staff. I have an excellent appetite, but there was that much I was unable to eat it all. We went to celebrate a 50th birthday and we will definitely return.

Called in one Sunday whilst walking the dog. Very friendly owners, make you feel very welcome. Dog friendly, even has a doggy bar with treats and bowls of water. Plenty of outdoor sitting space. Also do good foodCame back for food 15-12-21. I had Pizza and my partner had the seafood platter. Both were amazing. Pizza is done in a proper Pizza oven which make all the difference. You can add as many or as little toppings as you want, it was delicious. I was told the seafood platter was extremely tasty. Again a very warm welcome and attentive staff. Will be back

Absolutely beautiful meal. Could not find fault with anything. Staff lovely and helpful asking if we needed anything for the baby (bottle warming etc). I love the atmosphere in here, a beautiful, old building.

Came here for a Birthday Meal with the family. We had a great time. The service and food was top notch. We were served by Shannon, who was brilliant with us. Made a real effort to make us feel comfortable and even surprised us with a bit of cake for the Birthday girl. The Sirloin steak with Blue cheese sauce was beautiful.Highly recommended 👌
