popped in for food as staying at the premier Inn next door. Had really nice jumbo fish and chips.Even though the pub was busy our food came out in just 15 minutes.Food also reasonably priced. We booked a table easily enough. All very friendly and professional. Would definitely come back here again.

Had afternoon lunch here, not bizzy fairly quiet, tables are cleaned before you sit down staff were very good, floor was clean. the meal was very good, there are 2 doors one should be OK for a wheelchair that's on the front of the restaurant, the other door is up some stairs about 4, toilets are on the ground floor.

i like it, good quality place for food. good filling portions too. propper food not that noncy rubbish other places try to serve and be posh about. hell i member one time here i didnt finish my chocolate fudge cake, and you know when i dont finish any chocolate based thing that the meals were very worth it and filling.

Welcoming place, nice staff, ample parking. The menu seems to give enough choice to cater for all. I was intrigued by the Sunday Roast with roulade, described as a sponge holding in brie and cranberry centre. The end product was very different though and it didn't feel like a good alternative to the meat one. The kids pasta meal had a thick sauce on top with nothing blended into the pasta. We had to add ketchup to make it easier to eat. Sadly, food quality below the standard of most other places so wouldn't return. It's a shame really as it's a lovely place.*Edit to answer your question:To make it better I would improve the quality of the food. I would look at different versions of tomato pasta bake and other foods and modify yours to suit those others. It could be a cooking/staff training issue. It certainly shouldn't be dry. For the vegetarian roast, I would change the description on the menu to better suit the product given, but also add stuffing and a soya product (sausages) or pie to it as a filling alternative to chicken.

It's valentines day we booked for 4.00 o'clock 4 adults 2 children. Monday is £6.00 steak night.. They only had 2 8oz steaks in the place no sweetcorn no cumberland sausage. Had to ask for cutlery twice because they didn't bring enough only left 3 napkins. Steak was overcooked and peas cold very poor meal 🙁

Went on 18th Dec. Lively festive atmosphere. Food was lovely. The burgers and gammon were sooo good. The steak however was a little small however I think this was reflected in the discounted price. Drinks were lovely and a nice live singer. 9/10 would recommend

We didn't eat here this time, but the menu looks brilliant... very varied and different dishes to a lot of other places. The venue itself is incredibly clean, and the staff are lovely! Altogether a very friendly atmosphere and I would recommend 100%
