Church Inn in Wigan

Went in for lunch and it was really nice. My wife had Salmon and it was delicious. I had the Gammon and that also was lovely.

Second time we've been to this restaurant, excellent service, excellent food and fantastic price, well worth a trip, will be going again soon.

Greeted with a smile and a welcome a little early but still accomodated us the food was delicious and the drinks flowing, staff friendly and couldn't do more I will definitely be returning here 😁👍 plus the price was very reasonable for what we had 👍👍👍👍

An excellent meal to celebrate mums 90th. Howard and his staff were so attentive & looked after each and everyone of us so well. Champagne to toast the Birthday girl and nothing too much trouble. A great afternoon, mum loved every minute and the food was spot on. Thanks so much Howard for looking after us all so well & a shout out to the girls who served & the kitchen staff and chef, an absolute credit to you & your great restaurant. As you said to mum hope to see you back there for her 100th!

We went for a meal on Friday 10th December the starters was really nice then we had Christmas Dinner to much turkey on plate over faced me the roast potatoes was not done just looked like boiled. No heating was on very cold so we left as soon as we had eaten . We would go back again but not in winter

Came for a meal with a bunch of friends, our night from start to finish was awful, we was there for nearly 3 hours and couldn't wait to leave. Not only did we wait an hour for our starters they missed one and had to wait for there's to be cooked, our main meals weren't great either those that had the streak said it was bland a chewy and the rest of our meals weren't the best and not worth the £25, we then had to wait even longer for our desserts, most of us by then asked for them to be boxed up, us that wanted to have our desserts waited even longer. They brought us out a jaffa cake cake which we never order, we told the waiter this she took them away and ten minuets later brought out the same cake but with chocolate powder sprinkled over the top claiming it was chocolate fudge cake, we told her we didn't want it nor did we want an alternative, would have preferred it if they had just said we have ran out of the dessert we ordered instead of lying, i think if it was a group of middle aged adults they were dealing with instead of young adults we wouldn't have been treated the way we was, wont be returning.As a response to the reply you have left, we told the waitress that we didn't want our desserts and just wanted to leave and that we wasn't going to pay for the 4 drinks as we never got our desserts, she had every opportunity to go tell management and explain the situation, you also had every opportunity to speak to us as we was walking out, considering we paid over £200 for a meal that wasn't very great us not paying for 4 drinks i think is fair enough, they way you are handling this situation is unacceptable, threatening to slander us on facebook and taking pictures of my friend to send to the police is out of order, as a customer i know my rights and if food is not satisfactory and not as described i am within my rights to refuse to pay (for 4 drinks may i add). Id also like to add no one once told us about how busy it was nor did anyone update us about when our food was going to arrive, or check if our food was ok. I also stick by what i said we was most defiantly treated differently because of our age, this would not be happening if you was speaking to someone older, you say im lacking maturity but taking a picture of someone and shouting OUT OUT OUT when we tried to sort out the situation in person is showing how much you lack it.Also writing an honest review of my experience at your restaurant is not slander.

I liked this cosy restaurant. The staff were very friendly. I ordered Duck and fried rice from the menu. The meat seemed not cooked properly and very hard to chew. The rest of the dish was lovely. My wife enjoyed her cod dish. Overall, it was a nice experience.
