Gelato Royale in Wigan

Not the best!I will say that the staff are quite friendly, but it seems it takes a while from you walking the door, to getting served, to receiving your food- tables are sometimes not clean upon arrival, which isn’t great, and the waiting times is a joke

Went here today for the first time. And I have to say, I am absolutely disappointed in this company. Looked on the website, which stayed opened at 12 o’clock. We traveled 40 minutes to get there too no one in, we tried the phone but due to it being hot today, I assumed they was busy, the reviews were good so I didn’t think anything of it. We got there too no one in, member of staff was suppose to of been on shift was standing outside, turns out her boss didn’t even think of telling her the new opening times. Or even think of putting it on the website. She was left for an hour waiting, with no one answering her call. Eventually, the girl went home, which I don’t blame her, I would of too, due to no communication at all!! Myself and family waited till 4 o’clock, baring in mind, it had been 1 hour, waiting outside, we waited an extra half an hour for someone to just say “it’s nothing to do with me, I don’t do anything on the website”… she had no remorse for the customers. The desert was not even worth waiting for. Will not be returning here and I will be making sure anyone who asks for nice desert places, I’m sure going to make sure this is a defiant no go!!

Absolutely shocking. Expected delivery 9.10pm. for a call after that to say 2 of our items were out of stock. So picked new items. Then waited a further hour and 15 minutes for it to be delivered at 10.25pm. The store closes at 9.50 and we live 10 mins away so likely spent time closing up shop before delivering our order. Multiple items missing. How does a gelato company forget the gelato? But then I guess it would have melted whilst they closed up shop!

Lovely staff. Clean establishment. Fast service. Lots to choose from. Can order for delivery.

Visited, was quiet. Ordered Sundae, Crepe and Carrot Cake. Crepe was too thick , undercooked and stodgy and the sliced banana was way past it's best. The Carrot Cake was obviously stale and a struggle to cut through. The Sundae was nice. One member of staff enquired how our food was and we said "bad". She just walked off and cleaned a table. Asked for a refund and got one without issue. Food simply shouldn't have been served like this.

Just don't bother.We've used pemberton a couple of times and on the whole the service has been average at best. They obviously forget orders sometimes, other times it comes cold but tastes fine other than that. However this most recent experience has tipped me over the edge.I am appalled at the service of the whole franchise - not just pemberton. We ordered some treats last weekend 2nd May and they never arrived. We had order confirmation, paid, got a delivery time, waited an hour and called 5 times - no one answered, the number was engaged a couple of times too. Drove down and the place was shut! I have emailed, messaged on Facebook, Instagram and called again and no one has bothered to respond.It's now been a week and we haven't heard a thing. Roccos deserts is down the street, and cakeaway at primrose farm isn't far either, definitely recommend using one of them if you want a sweet treat.No chance will I EVER use Gelato Royale again. Vile.

Ordered a delivery which should have arrived at 4 pm. They rang us at 410 to say they hadn't got one of our items. Finally arrived at 510! No apology . Won't be going there again. Rubbish service.

Ordered on just eat, waited 1 hour 30 min as it had said, had notification order on way. Nothing ever turned up & no answer on telephone. Poor service
