Golden City in Wigan

Been going for 12 years, always amazing, the best salt and pepper you’ll ever taste, fresh chillis (hot) the best homemade seasoning with their own secret ingredient, which will have your taste buds wanting more, Christine is a lovely person who takes time to speak to her regulars who she recognises, I travel a few miles for this food an will continue to do so, can’t rate this place enough, keep up the good work an I’ll see you next week.

HorribleHot and sour soup , stone cold and taste of vinegar, beef chowmein was awful, pork dumplings left a disgusting taste in my mouth, the whole meal , cold inedible and does not resemble chines food

Edible but not the best by far the sweet and sour was brown, the salt and pepper chicken was the spiciest food I've ever eaten I'm my life, everything seemed a bit bland

Every meal has always been spot on. Delivery takes a while but understandable if they're busy. The singapore vermicelli and crispy chilli chicken is lovely.

Best Chinese going usually when me and my girlfriend argue ( now ex) :( i usually surprise her with a golden city but i cant no more as it usually takes a bit longer than usual to come and she gets proper frustrated because its sometimes cold then i get blocked so thanks golden city. Chris crying now.

Food is brilliant and we love Christine but the English girl who works behind the counter is very rude and makes customers feel unwelcome. This won't stop us from coming back but maybe greet customers with a smile in future :) amazing food as always!

Been coming here for 3 years and it always kept me girlfriend happy even tho she wouldn't pay. We've split now so probs won't be ordering no more :(:( at least ya made alot off money off me in the 3 years haha 5 stars

I ordered chicken curry and boiled rice, chicken and cashew nuts and egg fried rice for myself and my partner last Saturday. When I got home my partner got the food out and tasted it and though it was absolutely disgusting - the worst Chinese food she had ever ttasted. The chicken didn't taste like chicken and the cashew nuts were burnt and the egg fried rice was very dry and was the most disgusting she'd ever tasted. The chicken curry and boiled rice was okay but not the best I've had from there by a fair way.

What can I say. Golden city is amazing value for money. Food is superb. I love the chicken wings in ok sause & the special szechuan. Fast on the PHONE, The food is allways HOT! 👍

Amazing food in the past, awful service - we ordered 2 hours ago and were told 45 minutes ago that our food was out for delivery. That means our food has been going cold for 3/4 of an hour, and is continuing to do so. Our children are up late waiting for their "special dinner" and have been pestering, hungry, for over an hour. Absolutely unacceptable.
