Green Lane Fish and Chip Restaurant in Wigan

The owner is obnoxious, doesn't pay for training shifts and over does the training shift hours. Treats his staff like dirt and says that 'you need to improve a lot' when you're trying your best for the first job you have ever had whilst you're still in school. Would've given it a zero but I had to give a 1 star.

absolutely disgusting food. EXTREMELY poor hygiene insects under the tables. Not to mention the staff are underpaid, overworked and verbally abused by other colleges and managers. Save your money and go someone else this place should be shut down it’s terrible

I ordered 2 portions of chips and fish and I found a toenail in my fish and several hairs in my both portions of chips. I walked in and heard the owner scream at his coworkers multiple timesAbsolutely disgusting way to treat people on your payroll disgusting behaviour

This shop is absolutely terrible, I found a fly hidden deep in my mushy peas and was forced to eat it as I didn’t see the fly until it was too late!!!

very good quality chippy, clean professional, almost like it isnt a traditional chippy as youd expect traditional chippys to be grubby and unprofessional, this one is like a a bigger franchise chippy, very professional and good quality. even has ability to sit in with restaurant added.

Sat in a few weeks ago. Food lovely was a hair on it. But didn't complain. Been again today with my friend. Hair on her plate too! I seen it so did the waitress. Owner came over with the plate minus the fish and hair took off the chips. Asking where the hair was!!!! Was quite rude. So she didn't get a replacement. Said sorry when I paid. Assume realised waitress must of removed hair before he looked. Too little too late. Shame as looks clean and food really nice.

First ever visit and I really enjoyed it. Food really good and restaurant clean and tidy.

This place is many things but a good chippy is not one of them, I ordered a cheeseburger and chips. Tell me why I got butter in a burger. Who in their right mind puts butter in a burger, I'm absolutely disgusted. Honestly these reviews are lying to you when they say that this place is good. If there was a way to give 0 stars I definitely would. I've also just had to pay 30p for ketchup. KETCHUP!! DON'T COME EAT HERE!

First time here but won't be the last. Hot, fresh and tased as good as it smelled which doesn't always happen.
