Probably the best pub with the name John Bull I've ever been in

Small pub, real ale, great jukebox, friendly atmosphere, love coming in here when I visit Wigan.

This pub is a national treasure! Great atmosphere and the best jukebox in Greater Manchester, a trip to Wigan isn't complete without a visit to this hostelry

Craft ales up stairs, great atmosphere, jukebox with some of the best rock music of the last 50years, staff are always nice and so are the punters, can't go wrong.

Best pub in Wigan, been drinking here since the mid 70s, no TVs, no food, just a cracking juke box and great beer.

One of Wigan's best pub's in one of it's oldest buildings. A great crowd of regulars but equally welcoming to the occasional visitor, particularly if you're partial to the ever changing selection of guest ales. A fantastic alternative to the identikit big screen and loud dance music establishments in the rest of the town centre.

Great vibe. Great well kept cask ale downstairs. Great modern on trend keg beers upstairs. Great jukebox. Great staff. Overall verdict... Great
